I've suggested it elsewhere but Stokes would be a great addition for us. He can play the small forward role and rotates through the midfield at the Cats. OOC free agent this year.

Fair enough, I can understand the argument but we should probably go best available at that stage, which I think is not Jones. Obviously might change after the finals.

We won't take him at 20 because I'm sure other clubs aren't rating him as highly as we are - a lot of you guys are fixated on him because he's chunks brother. He'll still be there at third round. There are a lot better options second round in my opinion.

Why Richmond?

I would have thought Martin going to GWS would all but meant Adams will be at the Tigers as the GWS list manager already threw up that possibility (Martin for Adams).

I didn't see that in Trengove in the last game? Anyway, building up confidence will be a slow process and will only come as we progressively get better and the players learn to look after each other and play as a unit. Confidence is really 90% of the game. With more of this we will get better and some players will surely suprise when they begin to play with less mental baggage.

I agree with you as this is also my opinion. I don't think the AFL will be game enough to give us a top of round one selection as too many clubs will get rowdy and complain about it. An end of round one makes sense as it will replace Essendon's selection anyway and therefore clubs are much less likely to be up in arms about it. I'd welcome any kind of priority pick myself.

Martin is well and truly worth going after. We have to start putting the footy side of the club first, as PJ put it a short time ago which means putting Dusty's footy ability into perspective - he'll come into our side as our best midfielder, no doubt. Money wise, we can comfortably afford to pay him 600K... I know for a fact there is a player on our list who barely cracks a game yet is making 300K a year - imagine how many of them there are? At least with Martin we'd be paying someone to play for the MFC and not the Casey Scorpions.

Why do people think that we are able to get any player we want via the PSD? It's ridiculous! Oh, lets get Adams, Swallow, Martin, what about we ask Ablett to come through the PSD to us? Why wouldn't he?

Well I want a good player on our list, so a big YES. Roosy will be able to mould him into what we need.

Anyone purchased the new AFL game yet? I bought it at the beginning of the weekend. The gameplay isn't too bad, very similar to the previous games. I was particularly looking forward to the career mode in which you create your own player and take control of the club - the interface for this isn't very friendly and after 2013 season I took the Dees to 9 and 13 and I was sacked! So not too sure what is going on there. Any thoughts?

Tippett done for the night? I think the Swans play better without him anyway as the midfielders kick more goals and it's a better spread with more avenues for goal.

Once again you fail to read something properly. The fact is that we went backwards while he was midfield coach. I stated that 'I'm not saying he was to blame' not that I don't blame him at all. There clearly have been other factors, therefore I wouldn't blame him entirely (because that would be stupid) but yes, he has had a hand in it, in my opinion.

He doesn't have to thank him. Sure Royal had a go but the fact of the matter is that performance went backwards while he was midfield coach. I'm not saying he was to blame but somewhere along the line he had to be accountable and I'm glad he is now gone. I'm looking forward to seeing someone else in the role and hopefully a better credentialed candidate.

Also sounds as though Trenners might not be captain next season.
