  1. There are many posts suggesting Langdon had concussion and that was why he was subbed off. can anyone point to a spot on the MFC or AFL websites that says he had concussion, I have seen it in a paper. But not on any official type list. Can anyone give us the drum !
  2. For what itโ€™s worth i think Spargo is a link and mostly underrated I also think Harmes as a tag on a better player. Or even and to my surprise AnB and Melky play their part.
  3. In my opinion, Weid failed big time when he shanked the third goal he should of made. We were well on top, he was not far out, there was no obvious pressure. He is supposed to be a Key position forward. The difficult oneโ€™s leave to frittata or Kossy spinning in circles. the ones basically straight in front bbb. Bread and butter
  4. Melky of course, but he did play better last night and was an important kog, happy enough that he was in the side
  5. 6: oliver 5: harmes 4: lever 3: spargo 2: brayshaw 1: rivers then there were some very good players who usually dissappear I thought Hunt, ANB, Petty, Jackson, Jordon, Hibberd all very important roles The usual players Tmac, Tracca, Gawn, May, Langdon, Fritta, Salem missed his silk last week., I did think Kossy was "quiet" but potentially explosive, and the Weid, to prove his worth as an AFL player should have kicked his third goal, he should not have missed, well in front no pressure, a bad miss. Sparra was quiet as well. hardly a tweet. thats only 22 who have i missed, pleased with the result never worried from the 10 minute mark of the first. we were switched on from the start.
  6. If Weid was AFL standard he would have kicked that goal. Very disappointed
  7. Only if he has a continuing role at MFC or indeed with anyone else in the AFL too good for the VFL but the seniors not good enjoy to impose yourself or show promise only every now and then not when there are others
  8. Just my random thoughts not sure you could bring in BBB even with his history at Marvel, given such a poor game at Casey. but it gives Weid another chance. Just how strong is the dogs defence , NFI . and he wonโ€™t have too many chances. Mitch Brown very unlucky , Nev Jetta did not have a great game so no surprise. Salem has had a great year, deserves the extra contract. and we need Viney to be duly fit to last the rest of the year sort out the spearhead , rest important players at the right time and get our side ready for cherry ripe for September. I really think last week and perhaps the week before the players were mentally preparing for this coming game, it will be a fascinating game. Dees by 15 points. Fingers crossed
  9. Thought we played lazy football, when the crows had it in our F50. They could walk it out, no pressure no running to cover space until it got past the wing, then we got serious. but it does highlight how much Salem means to a smooth defence, still we have not been playing well since we beat Sydney that was a tough game.
  10. I cannot go past these votes
  11. Compare the pear the pies on the fat end and the Dees up the top on the pointy bit. At least for now and some time to come I hope. as a young lad where would you prefer to go, we are a destination club or at least heading in that direction and with almost 50,000 members ( next week perhaps) send his dad some tickets to the long weekend match. Have him in our corner and do it before Collingwood do.
  12. Just spoke to Enquiries regarding Monday long weekend game she confirmed this figure getting close to 50,000 members surely thatโ€™s a record
  13. Plus the last 6 games from 55. Including the GF
  14. So the state government announcement about the facilities at Latrobe Uni gets rid of one club from the MCG precinct Unless I am reading things wrong, that leaves Caulfield Race Course and the old Holden manufacturing site in Port Melbourne. I will be pleased when some decision is made, though if we keep winning I can wait a bit longer ! anywhere else ?
  15. Won 13 in a row that year. A way to go yet !
  16. Thought the top 4 were pretty clear. You might argue about the order. 6. Salem. Cool calm collected 5. Lever. How many saving marks helped by Salem and May 4. Tmac. Great goals and important marks 3. Oliver. All over the ground last two votes. Could have gone to almost any of about 6 or 8 2. Spargo. See Oliver above all over the ground and a couple of clutch goals. Involved in many scores 1. May. We have a fantastic backline AnB. Hunt Langdon Harmes Hibberd Rivers Jordan Weid Kossy Brayshaw Frittata all deserved a vote
  17. Spargo is a very smart footballer
  18. Yes first to 100
  19. 3 quarters won. Finish them off. Go Dees
  20. Unbiased commentary. My azz
  21. If McKay is out there he is fit. Thump his arm. His left of course
  22. Come on get another. Well done AnB
  23. We have won the first two quarters only need to win the next two
  24. Tmac what a game. He must want to be In The side all year for the flag
  25. Indeed great kick. Just in time
