  1. Just interested why poster's are outing Jordan Gysberts. From what I saw last year the kid is going to be good. Decision making and work rate was awesome.
  2. Supercoach and Dreamteam selections. Sure-ly.
  3. Sorry forgot Macdonald. Your Garland over Warnock is a fair call. Gysberts though, I think other Jordie will be a good player by seasons end./
  4. Was interested to know everyones best 22 for Melbourne this year. Mine: Maric Pettard Bennell Jurrah Green Watts Trengove Sylvia Scully Grimes Warnock Rivers Morton Frawley Macdonald Foll: Jamar Davey Moloney Int: Gysberts Jones Mckenzie. Sub: Gawn/Martin Maric: Has earn't a spot in the 22 Pettard: Before he got injured, this is his spot for melbourne. He proved this last year (RE: Collingwood). Better than Dunn. Bennell: Has no presence up back. Watch the Darwin game v Port. A goal kicker. Green: Would like to see Brad back in a key role up forward. Our best goal kicker, the Saviour. Watts: His presence running up the ground gives us options. Will only keep improving. Trengove: Rotation on the ball. Scully: Same as above. Warnock: Still has a lifeline. Plays better when Chip is around. Mckenzie: Needs Game time, will be an improver this year. Gawn/Martin: Spence makes me norvous. Hate leaving out: Bate: Tries his guts out. Can kick goals. Cook: Needs to earn his place. Strauss: The hardest to leave out IMO. Bartram, Nev, Bail, Tapscott, Garland and Wona = great depth.
  5. It wasn't the young blokes who were the problem last Thursday. Our Senior players didn't seem to want a win. Green, Moloney, Jones, Rivers, Davey (tagged), Macdonald and Jamar.
  6. Good call, Wait for the "it's only the NAB cup" calls to come out. Very poor performance tonight. Sylvia, Green, Davey (well tagged tonight), Jones, Moloney. All the aenior players out done by a inexperienced Bombers side. Watts Pathetic. Bennell playing in defence, WTF? Maric, the only shining light. Trengove, will be a star again this year. Played well, just a few mistakes which is OK for a second year. Actually was pretty good tonight. Jurrah, played ok in second half. A few nervous fumbles. Grimes, well done son, stood up out of backline. Bartram, Warnock and Macdonald, ARE YOU EVER GOING TO F@#KING LEARN! Jones and Moloney, not good enough! Sylvia, Shoulda been more responsive. We would have won if Green and Sylvia had of fired. Jamar had the majority of tap outs with no support. Spencer makes me nervous. Strauss, no spot in this side. Dunn, Ok but lacked support. Maybe we will scrape into top eight with Pettard, Frawley and Morton back. Oh, but it's just NAB cup.
  7. A little buzz on AFL 360. Melbourne has offered 1.9 million $ for four years to Scully. Didn't hear the full story as was on the phone. Hope it's true - Hope he takes it!
  8. Agree, he tried using his body for the marking contest but was out-smarted. It will come.
  9. ^^^^^ THIS ^^^^^
  10. The bombers are winning by great pressure footy. Too many handballs to players under pressure by Melbourne. Maric has shown some skills in the first half. Moloney and Jones need to show more. Grimes good out of the backline. Missing Pettard up forward as Jurrah has been unseen for most of the game. Copped a Punch to the mouth. Davey flattened pretty boy monfries, was great to see, as I cant stand that geled haired [censored]. Trenners hard at it, shame scully not playing. Please stop kicking to bate up forward while he is out numbered. Watts looks out of place tonight. Hopefully the dees can keep going in the 3rd and overturn the game.
  11. Got to lift without chip. Brad Green playing loose in defence.
  12. Ummm, it was his first AFL game tonight?
  13. I am not speaking about onfield performance tonight and should have been more clear regarding my post. The GWS are a young club and yes it may/may not take a decade before they are a success, but lets get back on the topic. My post was about Scully going to such a club that has no definitive building structure. A home ground and supporters are my main concern, where is thier supporter base going to come from? The Suns seemed to be heading in the right direction when they got the go ahead from the AFL, as they have been building a foundation from previous years. Why would Scully want to go to a team that may not even be around for a decade. After all, thier concessions as you say will dry out. Scully going to the Suns for top dollars I could understand, but to give up Melbourne for GWS???
  14. Liam Jurrah anyone? I enjoyed watching tonights hit out with the new clubs, especially watching Sydney become the first club to get done by the new boys. One thing caught my eye, and that was No. 34 for GWS. I think his name is Stevens. Reminded me of LJ in his first few games. Rare to be seen, but exciting when he was.
  15. Yeah, I'm sure Tom was watching GWS's first belt out tonight. Why would you want to go to a dribble of a club. They got beaten by Canberra Under 24's last weekend. It will take GWS at least a decade before they are knocking on the door, regardless of the 4 or 5 greats they poach. Tom can stay at the D's until he wins a flag / brownlow, then go chasing money. He will stay for sure. Otherwise he's mad!
