  1. Well we know the doggies form, swans are hit and miss, if the game at the Gabba was not stoped we would have stared down a 10 goal loss and the eagles well they had east Perth under 10's playing, we have the talent it's the game plan in the forward line that will kill us.
  2. Well if we keep going back to 2021 style of play season over, forward line is dysfunctional, keep going back to Tmac and we will keep failing, JVR is leaning but at least he is trying to crash packs and bringing the ball to ground, can someone teach him how to use his hands when marking and before someone says what do you know, look how many times the ball comes out of his hands and he try's to double grab, that is his weakness but he is young and playing in a hard position to play. Cannot figure out how you have Trac not in the guts at the start of the game, put your best in because Kossie is not a midfielder if it's to please him to stay then wrong move, they did the same with brayshaw before he signed to contract waste of time. When you let the opposition build a wall across the H/B line you are in trouble and that is what happened yesterday because they know all your players are up one end of the ground and it's congestion time, no where to run so they just kick it back with long kicks it also becomes a physical test on the body. We will beat sides but when the heat is on with our forward line entries it is going to be hard going stop going to the well with Tmac, Melk I am not confident with Schache but just try him for a few games, hell it might be even worth trying Jefferson, I know that it is early but I would sooner play someone that can chase than become a witches cone. Fritsch please learn to tackle you can put your body into it and stop trying to side saddle them. Come on Simon spend the week on the forward line we don't have a power forward yet, so do something to make it work.
  3. Well I can see a $100 bet from you know who......🤭🤭🤭🤭
  4. Jesus mate don't start this war again....lol
  5. Well now tell me how Tmac is worth a game in the forward line, the guy injuries have caught up, we then went back to down the line kicks into packs in the forward line no system, Kossie is not a midfielder, whilst the backline made plenty of mistakes which did not help, but when the pill comes in that many times the perceived pressure causes mistakes we were out coached out played, now back to the drawing board for the forward line. The bombers forwards stayed in front unlike us which gives you two chances with mark or free we just start from behind i cannot understand that.
  6. Stop blaming the backline, if the damm pill is coming in with ease the flood gates will open, no forward line, midfield just not pushing hard enough, stop with hand balling to someone running on the inside when there is no one to go in the next passage of play. As for the Spargo, umpire was correct, he is know for ducking the head, stop with Kossie in the middle get him just in the forward line.
  7. And if it is, so be it get the best you can for him, the world won't cave in, this year we have a big hand with draft picks it will be interesting, I hope he stays myself but it's a business now clubs move on contracted players so why should they be the same.
  8. Yes, but the trouble with Tom, injuries have affected his speed and ability to turn back quickly and it's a pity but it is what it is
  9. Something similar the secret in the forward line is run your opponent around drag as many as you can open space for people to lead in, but now it's about contested football lock it in trouble you can do both I am amazed when the ball gets kicked in from the H/f line everyone just stands waiting, forwards standing behind their man you see it all the time, Nick Riewoldt was asked why he ran his opponent even around when he ball was not near him, answer I wanted to tire him out and start my lead on the run straight away think he was pretty damm good at that.
  10. but you have the other forward and pocket moving as well, it cuts down on pack mentality in the square after all it would really only apply to centre bounces.
  11. I would love to see the H/F start out wide same with the pockets, it would be a nightmare for the likes of Kossie to run in to open space but they keep lining up like ducks in a row.
  12. Not worried if people agree with me, they are my opinions and I don't need people to agree with me to be right or wrong that why it's called a forum. 2. He is not a legend 3. Why would I talk to Jack he is not going to agree with me is he?
  13. You call what I say about Viney a rugby player and lack of footy IQ Vitriol, you really have led a sheltered life.
  14. Salem is clean with the ball but pace has dropped off, but still links up with May and co, would not rush him back until he is fully fit, but who do you take out if McVee or Bowey are playing the role?
  15. For you to answer me about VC shows me where you are at...lmfao
  16. Settle down get back in your high chair, big deal he's a VC you do know it's vice captain not Victoria Cross there is nothing courageous about being Vice captain, and again you still do not understand what I said but keep trying.
  17. It seems I had a post not allowed to be posted and I can only assume that the post in the admins minds might have hurt some peoples feelings, it seems it not what you know but who you know if I get banned for this so be it.
  18. Do you really think opposition players go jesus i'm on Viney today i'm shaking in my boots is that your thinking. I know who needs to grow up, one day you will.
  19. Yes mate it does but thank you for your wonderful contribution.
  20. I understand it better than you mate, because I don't watch it with red and blue eyes.
  21. Yes that's right and why did I call him that?
  22. Don't think I need to spell it out for you, again read I know you have read John and Betty.
  23. Another one that doesn't read or understand but I don't expect you to really...
  24. There is footy IQ and there footy IQ so answer this, is he on the same level in that department of players, Judd, Cousins, Pendlebury, Martin, hell can go back to Greg Williams etc, no, his strength is see ball get ball and pass it on, simple football, when he tries to to do anything else it comes undone, I will take his strength of his ability to fit the sides need, what he did in late 21 and the second half was do what Oliver used to do get ball and dish it off now that Oliver works a lot outside now, he does not need to be the one to do that, again stick to your strength not your weakness.
  25. Would not get carried away with a win against a completely undermanned side but you can only play against what is there, so, I still stand by my statement that Viney has no football IQ and the first half showed that but in the second half he did what he did back in late 21 and through out the finals series see ball get ball and pass it off no thinking plays a lot better and does hurt sides when he does this. Brayshaw, not sure what is going on there, seems to be either not happy he's playing H/B or confidence is down seems to be second guessing what he wants to do with the ball. McVee, getting better and better, Salam might spend some time at Casey if he keeps improving ( adds that Hunt speed ). Tmac, not much competition against him and the ground suited him, still backup for me. Chandler, well here is a surprise on how he has come on, makes good decisions always thinking of the next move, good goal sense. Kossie, I am one who believes his best position is in the Forward line, not sure he can handle the heat in the middle on a regular basis. JVR love the fact that he crashes the packs hard chases at full pace, but needs work on his marking, he need to keep his hands forward not bent backwards in trying to mark it causes to lack of strength in the hands, but still like him there. Petty, bit at sea but the way they brought the ball in no wonder, when all your forwards fly at once you don't have much hope, the forward line still needs a lot of work, cannot fathom why when the ball is around the H/F line everyone stands still move for heavens sake open it up, learn to make holes, take your opponent out of the area. Is it worth persevering only if they change the set up. Grundy, played against well not their best, but the best part of it for me, he got great game time and fitness time will only get better. If Hibbo is injured, and after watching Casey Disco would have to come in and would be a good replacement. One thing I was happy about there was several times that 2-3 players held back on the backline so when the eagles the ball chipped around in the backline, players were there, not to give them a chance to move it on quickly. I would love to see a change in set up in the forward line, instead of all lining up like ducks in a row take the H/F's further out, same with pockets creates a hole, can give you multiple aiming points, radical I know but we don't have a real power marking forwards. The second half the Eagles stated to run out of steam and class but like some of there young ones.
