There was another earlier in the year against the Lions that was the crudest one I've seen. Funnily enough I couldn't find any vision but here's what I did find. King and Cornes discussing the incident. I’m usually on the players’ side, I lean to the players because I understand how difficult this game is to play … I’m not leaning with the players on either of these. “I hope they get one week and I wouldn’t be upset, particularly with Mason Cox, if he got two. King also weighed in on the Cox incident: “This is a man who couldn’t mark the ball on this occasion, the ball was dropping ahead of him getting to the contest. “He doesn’t even compete with his arms, he gives up with his hands, he’s not marking the ball, but still chooses to stay angular with his knee and he knows he’s going to make significant trauma to the ribcage of his opponent. “This is if not one week, it is more.”

We've played most of the contenders in the run home, all playing their imaginary GFs against the league benchmark. Won some lost some, all good games taking their best shots without delivering our own. Well the finals are actually here, Goodwin has 'em fit, battle hardened, hungry AF and now the competition's gonna find out what it's truly like to play Melbourne. We'll look back in future years and say "Of course we won it. Just look at the list, guns all over the ground, and they were on a mission." They've done it before, they're gonna do it again, at home, on the MCG, "in front of our fans", just like they said. Go the Mighty Demons. Cannot wait for the after party.
