GWS just got picks 12 and 19 for Taranto. You can argue we wont get as good a deal as that for Jackson.
Taranto 3 yo , no rising star , smaller pay packet. Not comparable at all.

Just now, Lord Travis said:
Gotta change the contracts for first rounder draftees. The top kids get drafted to the struggling clubs and want to leave straight away. A number one pick leaving after one season is not good for the game.
Reckon you’re correct. 4 year min perhaps.

I think you'll find the rate of indigenous children taken from their parents is much, much higher than that of non indigenous
Might need to keep the adoption of all children in Australia and the relevant numbers , for another day. l reckon there could be another polarising issue at hand on that one. Same too, of the Queen personally signing an Australian Act of Parliament in lieu of the normal Governor General precedent. Suffice to say, l would personally hope and like to believe that she would have done so in this instance maybe symbolically and with the best of intentions .
Also once approved by Parliament, legislation is normally / never knocked back or retracted as far as l know.

So she should shut up and not talk about anything else but football when asked, despite this being about her teamates??? Its more than politics
By her standing in AFLW she is a spokesperson for her teamates
Not really into virtue signalling.
The Queen wasn’t born when the colonisation took place.
l thought the Queen was decent individual who pretty much dedicated her life to service and her role.
But l understand your point of view.

I like Daisy, but l’m disappointed she chose to become a political spokesperson.

I'm disappointed, but neither surprised nor angry.
Let's just get the best possible haul for him and move on.
Bit more to it than that. We need to clearly define trading requirements on our young players. Kosi could be next.

It will likely be pick 3 after FS selections (Ashcroft) - but that's still a great result for us.
We are never going to receive 'overs' for an uncontracted player. The best we can hope for is adequate compensation.
Pick 3 is as about as good as we could realistically hope for.
Very apt nom de plume.

Massive unders?
It's about output.
Cameron and Kelly were consistent A- graders season upon season.
Jackson is an inconsistent kid who had an incredibly underwhelming year and aside from that has shown glimpses. His grand final patch was grossly over hyped also, but that's natural because every second is analysed in a Grand final.
Pick 2 would be absolutely fair.
Not too many 21 yo with a C/V like Jackson.
Cameron/ Kelly no premierships !

pick 2 would get it done
tbh, i would then hope to split with gw$ or gc17 who're losing taranto / hopper and rankine respectively
i want more midfield depth as much as i want a key forward
Oh please. That is massive unders. I would consider that being totally screwed.
Just look at the C/V we have created for him and then precedents of Cameron and Kelly.
If we get rogered like that Taylor’s negotiating skills are zero.

How about reviewing the individual stats for the last half of the past two games.
Let’s see what that brings, who was absent etc.- 1

I can’t believe how poorly he played this year.
The worst part is he cut the guts out of his trade value.
Relax . What will he get paid at Freo?
Rising Star winner, Premiership player, very young , a player we we were looking to build our team around and you suggest he has limited trade value ?
I don’t think so.
This bloke arguably has the greatest currency value ever afforded in the competition.
Refer Kelly, Cameron.

Who would you have brought in?
Bowie and Bedford for starters

Two classy half backs, one classy winger, two quick classy forwards ( one big) .
Forget Grundy. Second week in a row too many players well beaten. There are 7 C graders in that side.

Lost it at selection
Yep. Full blame surely must rest with selection committee.
Going with the same team after being comprehensively bested the week before was flawed.

Ben Brown’s efforts for the past two weeks of notice.

Bedford Dunstan McDonald Bowie in ANB, Spargo, Harmes ANB Salem out

Our forwards take no ownership.

Leadership?
Oliver ok the rest?
The bit about doing it for the supporters seems to have been lost somewhere.
Shocking let down for so many.

Just don’t feel comfortable with a Grundy deal and if it also involves a high pick, even less comfortable.
Comparisons of two previous trades , Kelly and Cameron ,set some sort of precedent for any Jacko, trade should it happen.
To then take on a Collingwood problem and pay them super handsomely for it, just doesn’t sit right with me.
End of rant.

Dees wouldn’t allow Demon ooz at Bombers.
Agree he would be a good fit at PA

Zorko finished!
-
Not for me.
5 years and $3.5 million. - he’s 29 Ouch!
Just too rich and we haven’t done all that well with Collingwood trades.
Not sure how the cats could afford him ,but happy for them to take the risk and clog up salary cap.
We have a few we will have to tidy up next year.

Conversion rate poor. Forward structure just lacks danger and devil.
Too many players without enough tricks and class to be considered top end.

Pinch hitter with presumably salary benefits if it’s a Tomlinson swap.
Giant no deal if there is a salary impost back to Bulldogs.
