  1. Great win against that mob. The pressure that the young fellas in Spargo, Lockhart, Sparrow and fumbles Picket are bringing is great too see. Wow, our skills were great and it was so good seeing our composure and keeping possession in that last five minutes, just like good sides do. We are a tough outfit which seems a bit odd, I love it. Gotta keep this up is pretty obvious, but we are playing some nice footy. Clayton O is seriously going up another level. Go Dee’s

Oh yeah and didn’t the umps give us a good ride, un effing believable ?

  2. Just sent a txt too a saints mate who’s been at the game, and has been getting a bit cocky about them.

“Hey “mate” the Dee’s kicked 4.8 against port up there and got beat by 51..........Dee’s and saints game should good”.
     After siren.
“your mob kicked 2 more behinds than us but got beat by 59..........Dee’s by 6”

    No reply yet.

I’m going to be very interested to see the clubs response to this, even if they don’t challenge it they should definitely be making a very pointed statement pointing out inconsistencies and favouritism. And then release to the media through whispers that “internally Melbourne is absolutely filthy”.

Nibbler has been hung, drawn, and quartered because they were soft on Burgoyne.

I’m pretty sure they upgraded the rule after the Burgoyne tackles.

  4. Went last night and typically wasn’t confident, honestly cannot remember the last time I was confident of a win. I left at 3/4 time disgusted at our performance, can’t add to anything that hasn’t already been said.
It was a Melbourne home game and an official(I don’t think he was a melb official tho) at the game told me it was our decision too only have 500 ppl at the game. Bit disappointed, and I don’t now who made the decision, but we demon supporters were seated one level up in a pocket while the bloody port dills were in the prime position on a wing. We got too see the dills warm up twice rite in front of us while our lads were down the other end. Not happy jan ?
I’m getting too old too get upset by these performances, but I do, I’m a die hard that’ll stay that way till my day comes. Go Dee’s....too hell.....still?

Not sure whether it was my whinging or not but someone was smiling on me today! I was one of the lucky ones that scored a ticket to the game tomorrow night!
I feel very lucky and grateful to be able to attend two games in a row....first time since 2018 when I traveled to Melbourne for both finals and then Perth for that prelim we won’t talk about!

I’m a very happy demons supporter tonight!

  6. We take the w any time thank you. The 1st qtr was great to watch, our pressure on them with the ball was the reason we took control ourselves and created more opportunities, together with Gawn and our centre dominance of course. Five goals too zippo, two more in the 2nd and then the blues started pressuring us and we just did our predictable thing, nothing! It appears we’ve learnt very little as a team, and that word “team” makes me very skeptical of our prospects going forward. Unfortunately I just don’t see the working hard and awareness for one another that is clearly in the good “teams”. We are still who we are and have been for too long, not very good. Go Dee’s.

  7. I’d like too keep frosty and let him have a run in the middle or wing and give us that outside run from the centre. He’s quick, good overhead and agile enough at ground level, defensively been solid although erratic at times, he’ll improve that I hope, wouldn’t mind if he turned into a Bontempelli or like. Bit of size and strength in the centre. I think he would certainly attract offers but I’d like him too stay.

  9. Port’s coach has openly criticised his team for being unreliable, bucks has stated his team was soft and teammates didn’t back up one another......welcome to our world ?. I really wish there was some honesty and truthful appraisal coming from our coach about the way we’re playing as a team. Enough of the soft approach and molly cuddling these grown men. I as a supporter are seeing nothing changing, I would hope internally these players are being told how bad it looks to keep churning over the same mistakes week after week. FFS Goody tell it how it is, and own it, our skills are very poor, our defensive running is woeful, our team structure falls apart too easily and the chaos game plan is not working for us, it actually helps the opposition beat us way to easily on the outside. Sorry but I’m ova the excuses and so called it’ll b alright attitude I’ve heard for way too long. That One day for us seems so far away, just having a win would seem to be our premiership.

So it was just the honesty of those coaches that bought me too this rant.

I actually thought Goody was pretty honest in his post match interview against the brisso’s, and I no he wouldn’t and shouldn’t publicly berate Tom for the dropped mark, or Angus for the stupid handballs too????? or the countless other eff ups that we’re so skilled at..............

And now for the positives...............ummmmm, oh yeah max will b ok and Salem got off being hip butted by a geeeeraffff.

All is good tho I’ll b back for more and I haven’t heard anyone from dland saying there gunna stop supporting the mfc, thick skinned lot we have become.

Honestly how do YOU feel? I’ve gotten used to our failings as a footy club unfortunately ?

  10. Fair dinkum, no wonder our skills are so bad after shooting ourselves in the foot every game on numerous occasions, we should just put the gun too our head and just end the misery ?......fortunately I get a laugh out of our ineptitude these days, I’m way past the anger.

  11. What about the dropping the ball rule, if you take possession of the ball and don’t dispose of it correctly by hand (apparently you can throw it) or foot and the ball spills out because of a good tackle it’s not a free because the good tackle knocked it out, ffs if you possess the ball it’s your responsibility to maintain and dispose of it correctly. Games changed so much since I played with only 1 umpire running around doing a better job than 3 bozos doing it in today’s game ?

Having those two back in the team will be amazing.

Wonder if Lever will come back through Casey, I assume he will play at least a game or two there.

Said he would ease back in with managed game time,  I presume at Casey.

Lever also confirming no rift between Macca and anyone at the club.  Much loved by the group.

Lever is the only player that should speak to the media, he talks well and sounds very adept at answering questions on the team. Maybe a future captain, certainly a leader.

    OFF-field culture.

We are ALL so easily pleased with little wins.

We start to talk ourselves up only to fall back down.

We as a club  (not the team or list)...  talk cheaply, patting ourselves on the back, just for small wins,  on things insignificant.  This then rubs off on our list...  indeed rubs off on the whole club.

We are all too easily pleased with ourselves.  This is our curse.

    .

Unfortunately we only ever have small wins here and there DV8, then we fug it up the next week or season, so the majority of our supporters don’t no what a winning culture is like and their probably ain’t too many still around too remember the golden era.

I will never turn my back on the club tho. ?

  15. Groundhog Day, nothing’s changed as far as MFC suck at this game of footy. It has made me wonder why none of the so called experts, who all put us in the top 4, haven’t really sunk the boots in and called us for what we are as a team, hopeless turnover skill less bath water drinking clueless unfit little league downhill skiers............SO I DID HERE, outta sheer weight of disappointment ova the decades ?

So that’s how smart they are in the media, keep building us up because they no eggsactly that the Dee’s will drink it as usual and so we shall fail again and stay the laughing stock of the AFL.

Seriously where is our so called talent and leaders that we all THOUGHT we had disappeared too. Every other team looks so much more physical and skilful than us, sure we can look ok for a 1/4, maybe.

WTF is going on at this club FFS.

Sorry this rant was bought on by barracking for that team too beat the druggies today. I wish our team could play with that intensity and physicality and win and lose and I wouldn’t have to vent in this way.

Boy it’s gunna be hard to watch our team for ????

    Wow big text

  16. I’m a bit confused at the centre bounces, why in particular Oliver feels the need to make contact with an opponent when he just needs to see ball get ball, just move too space and make them chase you, he clearly puts too much emphasis on contact with opponents at most stoppages, he’s also not the greatest pest either unless he’s just winning the ball, that’s when the oppo hate him and we love him!

Yep.  It was great to see.  Not sure if it was picked up in the team song vid on the website, but Oliver, Gus and Trac all embraced together straight after the song as well.  Couple that with how every player got over to Goody after the siren and you can see how much they enjoy playing for Goody and as a team.  It's the one thing that helped me keep the faith, so to speak.

We still need to back it up in the coming weeks, but I feel like the 'old' Melbourne is back.

I hope this isn’t the the ‘old’ untrustworthy dees wise! A great win and another hoodoo team, ground and buddy put too rest. The 10 day break will help with the injuries too the list hopefully. Credit too the coach and players for turning it around after the qrt and a bit that looked very familiar too our start too the season. A lot of good signs of things that can help us move fwd, IF, we can back it up.
