Put what value you wish on stats but here are a few for what it is worth : League (averages) rankings: 5th in rebound 50s 8th in one percenters -- often an unnoticed stat 8th in effective disposal % (90%)

But the defence has looked a lot more stable with him back. Do you think it is coincidental?
  3. Is that the same Rance that Dear Bruce was orgasmic over last year despite the fact that Hogan in one of his first games took him apart? That is exactly what is all too regularly killing (and maiming) our youth. Needs to be very solidly hit on the head (pun intended) by those in charge.
  4. "Touched, play on, play on" certainly could alter a defender's actions eg not going for a mark and risking being tackled and penalised in front of goal. Absolutely W R O N G call by the maggots to then call for a review of their 'in play' call. Not that I expect that whoever runs the umpiring section to admit they got it wrong mind you.
  5. OMG - Karl Langdon said so, therefore it is true :-(((
  6. Just how important a part of our coaching panel is Macca? Very underrated I suspect.
  7. His clearances in the start of the last quarter were what got us back into the game. A clearance beast. Love him taking on the tackler and getting off a clean handpass. Awesome.
  8. I don't know that we need to compare Both were classy and incredibly quick thinking - bodes well for our future having guys like those on our list
  9. One of THE most intense 15 seconds of effort, persistence and repeat efforts that I can remember from any player of any level of experience. Bring on the season!
  10. Multiple Brownlows (though now, post Jab to be renamed Downlow) and greater longevity. A few Norm Smiths wouldn't go astray either.
  11. I thought that they would be chastened at least for a few months. New pharmacist in charge?
  12. And they got the skinny kid. This time.
  13. And Jakovich being the one and only player ever to be suspended for wrestling!! I haven't been fortunate enough to see Oliver or Trac live but if they are anything like Brayshaw in talent, power and application I will be salivating. Ah. Jaka. Such talent and excitement but Trac has already shown more determination in working hard to recover from injury than AJ did.
  14. It is surely totally different taking a tackle jumping that jumping to make a tackle. Still, given the MRP history of running test cases on Demons, who knows what they will do
  15. According to training reports he did that much of last week I sure as hell wouldn't get in his way. Imaging having him and Viney coming at you. If you had a choice, whom would you try to avoid first? ? Maybe someone who $kulked off to GW$ seeking fortune and infamy. Actually don't know and don't care anymore.
  16. OMG this is getting bit tiresome.
  17. Does that make us all asylum seekers?
  18. Is it paranoia if they actually are out to get you? They do love their 'test cases' to be tried on the 'lesser clubs'. Imagine had any of those unprecedented cases been against a Collingwood player - just would not have happened. If my memory serves me correctly, our Allen Jakovich was the one and only player ever suspended for wrestling, and that in a practice match.
  19. FCS why the free...unless TO Oliver for incorrect disposal / holding the ball?
  20. Acknowledging Jordie's skill deficiencies, if every player on our list got as much out of their potential as did Jordie, we would be a bloody good side. Top 4. For too long, up until now, many have not. Jordie's endeavour and work ethic should be held as a target for all. Looking forward to Clarrie having a long and distinguished career in the R&B.
  21. Why no Harmes? Multiple nominations
  22. Don't for even a microsecond think I am feeling sorry for them because I do not in any way, but EssUndone don't have the luxury of letting Parish simmer away in the seconds for a few months:. they will just have to dose him up and send him out there from game 1.
  23. And I suspect that some pathetic big noter in the MRP were this to happen in 2016 would cite him for the new offence of "tackling too hard". Let's hope they don't give him a retrospective / retroactive suspension - nothing would surprise me from that corrupt mob.
  24. One could, reading the last few pages, easily forget that this is a Clayton Oliver thread. Mods - how about setting up a pinned "personal abuse and bickering" thread?
  25. Always so many "ifs" IF we had picked Wines, or Stringer, we may have won a few more games and never had a look in at Brayshaw and Petracca. Time to move on.
