Stkilda might look at spencer, but I think we need him even if it is just for depth, although neeld likes sellar in the ruck
-
-taggert to back flank, using him and watts as our outlets out of the backline, I just don't like grimes being one of our main rebound 50 players, I want him in the midfield! And if not taggert, move tapscott back there, he played well as a forward but the most important thing for a forward to do is hit the scoreboard and he didn't! I can see more value of him picking targets out of our back 50. -trengove out of the guts into the forward line, play him so he runs up and back using his tank, also will give him more structure as he looks a little overwhelmed at the moment! -Sylvia back in, I don't care he has been out of form, we aren't winning, and if we were to win he needs to play, so get games into his legs!

Caddy, Danylel pearce, Clinton jones, Jay Schulz and Ryan crowley are all looking for more opportunities at another club! -
I don't even think he shirked it with the Robinson issue, the commentators said he needed to make body contact, but rather bails kick needed to be quicker or higher, watts wouldn't have looked at Robinson and thought I'm just going to stay out of his way, no he was watching the ball that was being kicked to him, which is the write thing to do! The intercept like that happens several times a game, it's just because watts was the recipient some people think he is in the wrong! A similar one was when watts kicked out and kicked it too low and hampson got onto it, why is everyone ignoring grimes who just stood there til hampson marked it and then put up a feeble effort or a spoil! Watts is definitely playing well and one of the few outside players who has been a real outlet for our in and unders! One of my major problems is that we have no one on the outside, if watts bursts into packs then we would literally just be dishing it out to the opposition! Watts stays easily, played two good games! And will definitely be playing in two years time!

Grimes, is the worst disposer in our team, I'd take jamar kicking it out of our back 50 instead

Who would think that when a keeper league is in place that the person on the bottom of the ladder would want to trade out the number one player in the league is all I'm confused about haha! I just think if he wanted to get rid of pendles, putting up a league note would get him a much better trade, even a murphy or something as you suggested is the top keeper player at the moment. -

Pendlebury is a keeper full stop there is no logical trade other than a players just from my list for example Jobe Watson (who will be a keeper) and some other fodder like josh caddy. i can see no logical reason to rid your list of the best player in the game and the best keeper player in the league! -

So wait what is the relationship between jack attack, wattscookn and jackliveshere? A few suspect trades! With jack attack throwing away his whole season with that last trade! -

Yeh my stats this week were incredible, pretty impossible to back that up again! Especially considering Rhys Stanley only had 1 kick, but I wish my team would kick straight! I got the free kicks for the first time this season I think aswell, so I just had a lucky week! -

Big win over deevoted, with the season getting into the business end the ladder is still pretty congested! My ruck stocks took another beating with Stanley going down, but hopefully the big o can get up and play again this week! Selection dilemma for me though with players on my bench performing too well, Schulz 7 goals, Pearce 30 touches, Stanley 27 touches, josh caddy 27 touches! Keeping the players in my team honest! -
Sure, all Melbourne players after the match should be showing signs of depression, alcoholism and be speaking to beyond blue for men's depression, or they should be delisted! He should play at casey because he is out of form, nothing due to his completely human response when talking to another person!
-
I didn't watch much of the match but what I did see neeld played watts loose in the backline, so yes he got cheap disposals but he was meant to be the outlet and he was from what I saw "Played his role" is what neeld will say, unlike plenty others
-
Just in the right spot at the right time, and his disposal was smart, took the right option and played within his limitations!

Surely watts played better last week though? Even giving him a go ahead of Dunn annoys me -

Why was petterd brought in ahead of watts? -

I don't like blaming umpiring, but this is the worst I have everseen! Also Sylvia and petterd cannot find the pill! -
Demons warned on draft tampering
Mad_Melbourne replied to red and blue forever's topic in Melbourne Demons
We could send him undercover and he could just hurt players in the intra club matches! Imagine Gws #1 draft pick jack viney destroys smaller Gws recruits in intra club match, leaving their list decimated! But seriously if he was picked up by one of them what is to stop him having compassionate leave or not resigning on after his initial two years. The other thing is we could trade our first round pick from next year for him, as otherwise they would get nothing -

Mad_Melbourne replied to red and blue forever's topic in Melbourne Demons
If Gws and gc bid for viney at 1 & 2 and we say cool, we will have him in 2 years when he chooses not to sign on with you guys and just walks onto melbournes list, and they decide that they shouldn't waste a draft pick on a player who is extremely likely to up and go, would that mean they can take him with their 2nd round pick before ours, of if they don't take him does that mean we get him at pick 25 or whatever? -
Its always interesting to see who is going to play on who, and this week against hawthorn I think there are several ways to go about it, and I was interested to see how people thought it might pan out. So who goes to Franklin - frawley, obvious choice, McDonald, McDonald could be an option, this could stop Franklin from running hard and try to go the body, trying to out muscle McDonald, this isn't how franklin plays his best footy so could be an option, but I think Franklin would be too class for McDonald. Rioli - bartram or garland, personally bartram, but garland can play this kind of role. Roughhead/hale -McDonald, sellar, rivers - rivers would get hammered on either of them, so hopefully sellar plays on one, if I was hawks I'd play McCauley, leaving roughhead deep which would mean rivers would probably go to hale, who could well destroy us this week. McDonald might be too skinny, out muscled in the one on ones. Who do we tag? Mitchell, Hodge (still looks out of the game)! Thoughts

I'm guessing you have won the points scored total a few times haha. Although free differential is annoying, I like the current spread, it leads to list depth as without a ruck man you are don two points, leads to more tactical choosing, players like Kosi for me who I just picked up become important as extra disposals rather than hit outs! For mine in the modern game tackles have become so important should be worth 4, I have won the tackle count most weeks! Only stirring but I think if you look to deep into it, makes tactical choices tougher, for example different teams aim at different categories! I know week in week out I will lose the hit outs, poor recruiting on my part, but I will try get the win through the other categories, also your 17 point system can have draws -
WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - JACK VINEY
Mad_Melbourne replied to einstein251's topic in Melbourne Demons
Guys we should have tried to convince the other clubs that jack viney was actually not going to play football, and wanted to be a ballerina, then diverting attention from a player who got the tac cup medal for best on in the grand final when his team lost! This also could have tricked all other clubs that he was not the toughest player entering this years draft, and that he would not slot readily into many midfields in the competition! Of course we should have signed him up early, people saying anything else are just idiots! We could do nothing else about it! -
I'd hope more so bennell
-
I'm not worried about watts, I must be one of the few but il be happy if he plays up the field because I think playing on flank is ideal for him, the more he gets the ball the happier I am because his disposal is top notch! He will be fine, I would be more than happy to see him back in the team ASAP

Cale Morton is a midfielder, neeld is playing him as a midfielder, not a loose defender, tagged, forward flank, he is thriving when playing his role, I remember talking to him last year and he told me he thought that he would Be more valuable playing a midfield role and obviously he is! He knows how to get to the right spots and can use it well

Poor list management and forgetting to press submit on my lineup before heading to bendigo without technology will lead to me losing poorly this week!
