A decent effort from the PM's X1 replying with 331, Maxy 136 off 89. -
The English certainly took the long handle to the PM's attack today at Manuka, 6/391 off the 50 overs with bell amassing 187.

There are a number of time saving factors other than the game reduction Grapeviney, the main ones are - No advantage scores after deuce, sudden death point decides the game. Tie breaker after score reaches 3 all which is first to 5 points. No sitting down at change of ends with maximum 60 secs between games.

Didn't mind it as I find long drawn out 5 setters a tad boring. The purists will dislike it in the same manner as traditional cricket lovers don't appreciate 20/20. Whilst on tennis, Sam Stosur is a concern as she continues to blow opportunities.

Yeah mate, stems from being a passionate Victorian living in Queensland - nothing too serious. The grief the locals gave me after they started to dominate the Shield comp after years in the wilderness was pitiful. I'm a huge Burns fan and don't mind a few of the others, Young Alistair McDermott was my next door neighbour for several years during his tertiary schooling, nice fella. Isn't it great to see Pattinson and Cummins on the comeback trail ?

The fielding of Joe Burns is a concern, get him out of short leg fgs.

All the same we missed 4 chances today that I saw and had Smith not dropped Kohli at 2nd slip off Starc when he was 59 we would probably be batting again. Watson was terrific today.

0/123 at lunch, could be a massacre here, the Indian fielding has been very poor with young Rahul the worst offender allowing 2 chances to go begging. Aussies have made the most of their chances as well as receiving the rub of the green.
