Gee the MFC site is so far telling us nine tenths of nothing about the game. I watched the first half then sadly had to go out. Their only item is a 1 minute video of early in the game. Perhaps I am just expecting too much but surely good results mean membership numbers increase.

Sounds like a wise move to me! I would not be surprised if he doesn't play round 1. We all saw how much is absence affected us last season. I would much prefer he played the last 80% of the reason rather than rush him back for the early part of the season.

It's make or break for Jefferson in 2025. If he is still not in the possibles for round 1 I worry will he ever be? The fact we have selected a few Forwards/ second ruck types does not bode well for confidence by the FD.

From memory dd the surgery only happened after the round 1 breakdown. I am not sure why all the conversation is about the Spargo injury affecting our 2024 season. IMO he is an average player. I doubt his absence affected the result of one game last year.

I was planning to go to this game but a week ago it occured to me it is on at the same time as the GP. The GP is a once in a year event with 2 Aussies in the field and one with a big chance of winning. As a motor racing fan I will probably stay home and flick between channels to watch both. So the first home game of the season is out for me.

From the one article I read it would appear Freo took the game very casually, a number of their top players did not play and a few of their regular indigenous players were in the other side. Like all these games one side had low interest.
