Hi Mr. Leg, I dont agree at all. I believe you should put your best available team on the field every week and worry about next week when it arrives. It is like playing for drafting choices i.e. tanking I did not like it a decade ok and still don't you play to win every week and worry about where that leaves you at seasons end. IMO this year we are in little danger of playing finals but we should put our best foot forward and if that means we finish 9th so be it we work out our picks from there. If we finish lower ( as I think we will ) well so be it we takes those picks. To do any thing other than try to win every game promotes the idea that it is acceptable to not try every week. In my wildest dreams I cannot imagine Hawthorn not trying their hardest every week.

DJ I know three members who are still members who voted for the merger. None had any connection to sponsors. All had passed on their votes via proxy. I really don't want to open this subject again but a lot of loyal members believed it was the way forward.

The biggest problem facing the MFC with government donations is Labour see us as Conservatives so not votes there and no money. Conservatives see us the same and no votes lost if they don't provide money. You know the story about a rock and a hard place.

The one thing wrong with your theory rjay is that due to our long injury list the equivalent players this year are all playing in the seniors. There are a lot more "Casey" players in the mix every weekend. Without injuries the cusp players like JKH, Stretch and Wagner etc would be at Casey putting up similar numbers. IMO It is our injuries that are causing the problem.

Don't agree on Chandler Chook, I though he did some nice things. He is still a baby.

To be honest I was concentrating on four other players dd, and as such I probably missed some of his work. I would have put him on my ok list but that may have been unfair to him. Yes I like how him and Chandler are progressing, both are still quite young so not sure I would want to expose either to the top level yet. There is a long way to go for these guys IMO the worst thing we could do would be to put them in the seniors at present when the support for them this year would be low. Again only my opinion but it may be better to wait till 2020 there is plenty of time for them.

Wagner had a good game and is probably the only one at Casey suited to the senior back line . But he has been in before and IMO is sadly one of those players who is good at VFL level but just not good enough at senior level. We are however down to the bottom of our reserves so he may get a run in Perth. Sparrow played around the mid field most of the day. Again IMO he is developing well but a back man? not sure I think his talents lie further up the field.

I am not trying to strangle all ideas RN , I am just giving the info I know. I would love one of the ideas to fly, the one thing I am very sure of is the MFC have throughly investigated all the options and it seems none are viable. What they may be working on now I like everyone else have no idea. I sincerely hope they can manufacture something in reasonable distance of the G which is our spiritual home. It is just an extremely difficult objective.
