Not sure you can call a draw with Hawthorn as powering our way out of anything.

I am struggling to care about football at the moment. The chances of going to a game are close to zero and the Dees have decided to return to 2020 form and results. Reading has become my favourite sport and Monopoly with my GD is running a close second at present. 2021 is dead I am looking to a better 2022.

The only one that comes close is the " don't touch the football" from SA.

You forgot the "Too" DC. Very few people in Government / Medical authorities ever mention it. It astounds me so little is discussed about the effects of the virus.

I think I have kept my cool through the last 18 months however the last two virus outbreaks are beginning to really annoy me. Previous one was from SA and this one from NSW. And the further it goes this looks like it is the result of two groups of people who did not follow the rules. What is that people don’t understand? We are in a pandemic, you could easily get the virus and it kills.

Yes DC, the young think it is only old people who die and it wont happen to me. Even if it does it will just be a bad flu. Some times dying is not the worst thing that can happen.

Better than average chance this is going to be a game without spectators.

I hope it lasts till 30/7 dc. Simple problem in Australia not enough people have died. In the Uk/ USA everyone knows of someone who has died. They are not worried about a very long chance of having a problem. Because they know what is worse.

That is a good reason to try OMD but who would book a flight to WA they close the border while you in the air and then make you quarantine for two weeks. I doubt I will ever travel to WA again, just too hard.

It's all about eyes on the game to sell to sponsors. Probably a small financial gain. That's the way of the world in 21st century.

One thing I have learnt through lock downs etc over the last 18 months is you cannot plan. Just go with the flow. It will happen when it happens. The MFC probably has no better idea than us at this point.

It now seems it is legal to ride a play to the ground and roll around on his back. I swear there were 30-40 incidences of this in the seconds game I went to on Saturday and as for pushing in the back as the player kicks the ball I have never seen this relayed down field. It seems the only way a push in the back is awarded these is the most blatant push when going for a mark. Holding in the ruck! The Werribee Ruckmen held Daw on ever occasion. Not one free all day.

Watching the ladder is better than a lot of the games involved by clubs other the Dees.

My view is if I don't expect to go it will be a big win if I win the lottery but if I don't it I won't be upset. I hope I get to a pre GF game that will be a big win. PS. I have my mind set on round 22 at the G. I hope the comp is still going of course.

I understand that but by the time sponsors and higher membership levels and guaranteed are satisfied there will be precious little left for us rabble at the bottom of the queue. We have 50k members. I think participating clubs get about 20k each. I don't like the maths. I knew a long time ago that going to a GF will be out for me. That's ok I don't have a problem with the people who pay more getting priority. Just make it and win it and I will be happy.
