  1. Teaser 2018 - The Force Awakens ==> https://www.smugmug.com/gallery/n-MhQnCP/i-mR4JGgs/A
  2. 2017. Simon Goodwin takes over the reigns as senior coach. For the second year in a row Melbourne had no involvement in Free Agency. The Trade period saw Michael Hibberd and pick 59 arrive from Essendon for picks 48 and 66, Pat McKenna and picks 51 and 69 arrive from GWS for picks 57 and 59. In a late surprise, Jordan Lewis and picks 57 and 68 arrive from Hawthorn for picks 48 and 66. Lynden Dunn and pick 51 are traded to Collingwood for pick 47. Chris Dawes, Jack Grimes, Matt Jones, Max King, Viv Mitchie, Ben Newton and Dean Terlich were all delisted. Having traded out their 2016 First rounder in the 2015 trade period, Melbourne entered the National draft with a mediocre draft hand. Mitch Hannan (46) and Dion Johnstone (68) are added to the list. Josh Wagner is elevated from the rookie list. The Rookie draft sees Lachlan Filipovic (8), Tim Smith (25) and Declan Keilty (41) added as rookies. Corey Maynard is added as a category B rookie. No players are added to the list of men still standing which remains as Jack, T.Mac, the skipper, Salem, Christian Petracca, Angus Brayshaw, Alex Neal-Bullen, Clayton Oliver, Jake Melksham and Joel Smith. The season ends in heartbreak. With less than a minute left in the last game of the season the Demons were still, in the eight by a fraction of a percent. West Coast Eagles were playing top of the ladder Adelaide in Perth. A goal to Jack Darling with only minutes remaining on the clock sees the Eagles edge passed the Demons and into eighth spot by 0.5 of a percent. 3. Thanks EO, I appreciate the sentiment. I have a lot of shots of preseason training dating back to the 2013 season, some good and some not so good. It has been an interesting experience going back and reviewing them season by season. As for the time, I recently retired, so I have plenty of spare time. 6.

  5. Hi Dazzle, Thanks for the feedback. It's probably due to the band width on the device you are viewing from. They are all produced in 4K. There is a bit of mucking around to get them set up as stills in a slide show. I've recreated the latest one in a lower resolution that should be suitable for viewing on a mobile device. Let me know if it makes any difference. If not, I'll see what can be done about packaging them up into a photo slideshow format. 2016 - Starman mbl ==>https://www.smugmug.com/gallery/n-Pm7mRh/i-LdCJFFV/A 2016 - Starman 4K ==>https://www.smugmug.com/gallery/n-MhQnCP/i-nzqkvQm/A
  6. 2016 Melbourne enters the 3rd and last year under Pual Roos as Coach. For the first time in a while Melbourne had no involvement in Free Agency. The Trade period saw Jake Melksham arrive from Essendon for pick 25, Jeremy Howe departs to Collingwood and Jimmy Toumpas to Port Adelaide for Ben Kennedy and picks 29 and 50. Jack Fitzpatrick was traded to Hawthorn for pick 94. In the first year of trading future picks the Dees traded picks 6 29 and 2016 first rounder for Picks 3 10 and 43 from Gold Coast in an attempt to get ahead of the bombers who had significant compensation picks. Picks 10, 43 and 64 then went to the Giants for Thomas Bugg and Pick 7. Melbourne had started its use of future picks to significantly improve their draft hand. Daniel Cross retired, but stayed as an assistant coach, Viv Michie, Rohan Bail, Mark Jamar, Jordie McKenzie and Aidan Riley were all delisted. The National draft saw Clayton Oliver (4), Sam Weideman (9), Mitch King (42) and Liam Hulett (46) added to the list. The Rookie draft saw Josh Wagner (6) and Viv Michie (24) and Joel Smith (41) added as rookies. Melbourne's list is starting to resemble a poker deck with four Jacks, a couple of Kings and quite possibly a couple of aces. Clayton Oliver, Jake Melksham and Joel Smith are now added to the list of only men still standing along with, Jack, T.Mac, the skipper, Salem, Christian Petracca, Angus Brayshaw and Alex Neal-Bullen. The season saw steady improvement with 10 wins and a rise on the ladder to 11th. Melbourne's future round trade to Gold Coast had given up pick 8 in the 2016 draft (picks 6 29 and future 8 for Picks 3 10 and 43) Enjoy. 2016 - Starman ==>https://www.smugmug.com/gallery/n-MhQnCP/i-nzqkvQm/A 2015 - Foundation ==> https://www.smugmug.com/gallery/n-MhQnCP/i-VLMSNqD/A 2014 – New Hope ==> https://www.smugmug.com/gallery/n-MhQnCP/i-Wkj43BD/A 2013 – Annus Horribilis ==> https://www.smugmug.com/gallery/n-MhQnCP/i-bWkHdxp/A

  8. Jack was back wearing #7 for the match sim. Ricky Mentha seems to have taken up the mantle of #13
  9. October 6th, 2014, Melbourne has a good draft hand thanks to their lowly finish and the departure of James Frawley as a free agent to Hawthorn. Jeff Garlett, Heritier Lumumba and Sam Frost have joined during the trade period and Mitch Clark is traded to Geelong. Dom Barry and Shannon Byrnes retired, and Sam Blease, Mitch Clisby, Michael Evans, Alex Georgiou, Daniel Nicholson, James Strauss and Luke Tapscott were all delisted. The National draft saw Christian Petracca (2, Thankyou St Kilda), Angus Brayshaw (3), Alex Neal-Bullen (40), Billy Stretch (42 father son) and Oscar McDonald (53) added to the list. Neville Jetta was elevated from the Rookie list. The Rookie draft saw Aaron Vandenberg (2) and Mitch White (20) added as rookies. Simon Goodwin joins the Demons in late 2014, serving as an assistant coach under Paul Roos as part of a succession plan to take over as senior coach. Brendan MacCartney Departs the Western Bulldogs and is lured to the Demons. The appointment is seen as one for the long term, with Demons’ coach-in-waiting Simon Goodwin seeing McCartney as the ideal offsider and confidant for his tenure. Disaster in February for Petracca. The 19-year-old's knee buckled after falling awkwardly in a marking contest, forcing him to limp from the track. Scans after the training incident confirmed the terrible news, a rupture of the ACL in his left knee. He was to miss the entire season, returning to training late in the year. Fan favorite Jack Trengove continues to recover from an injury to his navicular which occurred early in the 2014 season which saw him miss almost two years of football and effectively ends his career. Christian Petracca, Angus Brayshaw and Alex Neal-Bullen are now added to the list of only men still standing along with, Jack, T.Mac, the skipper and Salem. The season saw green shoots appear with 7 wins and a rise on the ladder to 13th. 11. 2015 - Foundations This was the year that the foundations were well and truly laid. Three more names were added to the list of those still standing. I took a lot of footage in 2015, so it will take some time to sort through. 2015 - trailer. (Release date to be determined ==> https://www.smugmug.com/gallery/n-MhQnCP/i-Qsc6VhH/A
  12. May 2013, Peter Jackson is appointed as CEO and the long climb back begins. By the end of that year Neeld was gone. Daniel Cross and Aidan Riley had arrived, and Colin Sylvia had departed all under free agency. Dom Tyson, Bernie Vince and Viv Mitchie arrived during the trade period. I can’t believe we gave up pick 2, 20 and 72 for Tyson and picks 9 and 53. Aaron Davey, David Rodan and Joel Macdonald retired, and James Sellar, Josh Tynan, Troy Davis, Tom Gillies, Tom Couch, James Magner, Nathan Stark Rory Taggert and Neville Jetta were all delisted. The National draft saw Christian Salem (9), Jay Kennedy-Harris (40), Jaden Hunt (57) and Mitch Clisby (82) added to the list. Ther Rookie draft saw James Harmes (2), Max King (19), Alexis Georgiou (35) and Neville Jetta (50) added as rookies. Paul Roos is lured to the club by Jackson as senior couch to start the rebuild. During that preseason a young fresh-faced Angus Brayshaw and Billy Stretch are invited to train with the club. Christian Salem is now added to the list of only men still standing along with, Jack, T.Mac and the skipper. It was a tough season which saw Melbourne finish 17th on the ladder with 4 wins and only ahead of St Kilda on percentage. The slow climb back had begun. 13. Good news. I managed to find all of the original full resolution shots rather than relying on the down scaled copies that I had up in the cloud. I also found some footage of an intra club out at Casey which I have added in. This can now adequately be viewed on a desktop. For those of you who can manage the pain of reliving this time, it's worth having another look. If you dare, enjoy ==> https://www.smugmug.com/gallery/n-MhQnCP/i-bWkHdxp/A Mods feel free to replace the ling in the original post.
  14. December 2012, For the first time Six and his camera decided that it would be good to head down to training at the mighty Demons. Back then we were the ultimate nomads, no home base (what's changed) we didn't even have Gosch's paddock which was the domain of the Magpies. We trained on the rugby fields assigned to the Storm and even headed down to Linton Street Moorabbin which had already been abandoned by the Saints. Eleven games into that season Neeld was sacked with one win and an average losing margin of 77 points. The demons went down to the Saints in round 3 of the Nab cup at Casey Fields 2.7.6 (66) to 2.10.13 (91). The quality of the footage is not as good as I no longer have the original shots, but it should be OK if viewed on a phone or tablet. The only men standing from back then appear to be Jack, T.Mac and the skipper. Please enjoy ==> https://www.smugmug.com/gallery/n-h9VFff/i-SNMX97x/A
  15. A few more from Thursday = >https://www.smugmug.com/gallery/n-h9VFff/i-KdGnrDT/A
  16. I wouldn't hold your breath re Caulfield. It's Casey or the paddock for the foreseeable future and Caulfield is supposed to be public space so cant see a big fence being part of the deal. Collingwood has no way of locking out supporters and with their attitude towards their fans I'm not sure the would.
  17. It is Noah Yze. He has been traing with the club this preseason.
  18. Six and his Camera travelled down the highway in the hope that it might be open session. Alas not, until the back gate was opened for Gawny, Gus and a few others to head over to one of the other ovals for some special training. I took the opportunity to meander on in for a closer look but was swiftly told to stop taking pictures, go figure. So, I headed back out behind the fence a took a few more. Enjoy ==> https://www.smugmug.com/gallery/n-h9VFff/i-MLzjBHb/A A few more from Thursday = >https://www.smugmug.com/gallery/n-h9VFff/i-KdGnrDT/A
  19. No such luck, no press pass for the devil. All the result of the glass. I had to find a descent hole in the fence that gave me a clear view without cyclone wire. The guy on the gate was not going to entertain letting me in.
  20. Old 6 packed his trusty camera and headed down the highway to Casey. Enjoy ==> https://www.smugmug.com/gallery/n-Gdk9w2/i-7gzWqzP/A
  21. Not allowed at training until next year so let's try something different. https://www.smugmug.com/gallery/n-gJL3QG/i-m9X89XD/A
  22. Can you see the family resemblance?
