  1. Frawley back. Not a forward.
  2. No, of course not. "Known fact"??? This is Demonland.
  3. Which is why he has played every game this year.
  4. All we need now is the Trifecta: Martin suspended by the club after insert-your-offense-here.
  5. Going to be a busy Tuesday night for the Dees. Kent also up on a Rough Conduct charge, which he's contesting. Melbourne Demons: the hard men of football. (http://www.afl.com.au/news/2014-05-05/demon-to-fight-vfl-charge)
  6. The Lord giveth, and the Lord taketh away ... We may lose Viney, but Richmond have lost Deledio for their game against us the following week. (one match ban, and they have a bye)
  7. Garland, maybe one of Gawn or Fitzpatrick in for Frawley (inj.?) and Giorgio. Toumpas, Clisby, Blease as Emergencies, one in if Viney goes, perhaps one in to replace Byrnes. Riley, Kent not doing enough - or consistently enough - at Casey level.
  8. Weak. The old "no-one likes hearing the truth" line in another guise. Nothing to do with it. (re)Read post above. It's about there being some kind of veracity and accountability in what people report, even on an internet forum.
  9. Toumpas and Nicho did well (OK?) it seems. Only info I've seen, but given the result, would be hard to imagine there were too many.
  10. Really looking forward to the second half of the year.
  11. Interesting also the message that it sends to those at Casey: You need to play well - and consistently well - to force your way in.
  12. Not necessarily, because after Round 11, one Rookie can be promoted regardless of injuries etc.
  13. "slower than expected recovery" … "a precautionary approach" … where have we heard that before: "ST KILDA defender Sam Gilbert will miss at least the next 10 weeks after suffering a setback in his battle with a foot injury. Scans on Gilbert’s foot revealed a slower than expected recovery rate, with the Saints opting to take a precautionary approach." And this after we were told he'd miss 6 weeks back in the beginning of February, or even this doozy in March: "SAM GILBERT could emerge as a surprise inclusion for St Kilda in Saturday night's clash with Melbourne after overcoming a fractured foot sustained early last month. " Seems Melbourne aren't the only club with incompetent medical staff who don't know how to manage injuries.
  14. We've fought the last two games out till the end, even playing some of our better football late in the last quarter, so it would be hard to put our current shortcomings down to a lack of fitness. On the other hand, we're still a comparatively young side, which will always compromise us against a side like the Swans - more experience, more pre-seasons, bigger bodies. Yes, it takes time.
  15. No, you're interpreting what you're seeing. BTW, seeing spelling has come to be part of the thread, its crapping. Two p's.
  16. Terlich … days numbered with Clisby and Strauss snapping at his heels.
  17. Hard to see us winning this, but liking the effort and intent.
  18. No Spencer? Emergency for the firsts, but normally they're also named at Casey if playing.
  19. Easily: "Hogan damaged his back in a recent NAB Challenge match when a knee from an opponent forced him from the field. "
  20. Not a defensible argument, not sure why you and others here even bother continuing with it. Situation at Melbourne is identical to situation across every club and across every sport. Injuries do/don't show up in scans etc., injuries do/don't respond to standard treatments etc. etc.
  21. Because TGR knows more about the specifics of Hogan's physical condition(s) than the Medicos or staff at the club.
  22. There you have it. Information doesn't get much more in-depth or accurate than that. FFS.
  23. The club sets realistic expectations on when they will return on the basis of available and known information. On the other hand injury/health management is subject to any number of variables. Not sure why that should be contentious, or difficult to deal with.
  24. There's a get out of jail right there … one less to worry about. Now all we need is for Franklin to turn it on ...
