  1. Actually I think Anthony Hudson said it in the conversation with Grimes.
  2. I'm in. My team is Lee's Dees. Should be fun.
  3. 1 - T. Scully 2 - J. Trengove 11 - L. Tapscott 18 - B. Griffiths 34 - J. Craig 50 - L. Patrick PSD 1 - M. Thorp
  4. I agree. I saw him play at the Telstra Dome and he caught my eye too. Small and very quick. He burst out of the centre a couple of times and I can remember once he had three guys chasing him and I think two of them fell over each other trying to catch him. He kicked a point from memory though. He made the U18 all Australian squad on the bench. I’d be pretty happy with him at 34 if he lasts.
  5. I think (hope) we’ll see some good footy from Meesen in 2010. Maric too. I’m also looking forward to seeing Watts improve. I’m not expecting too much but I think he will benefit greatly from being able to concentrate 100% on football instead of high school. Calan Ward was in school in 2008 and this year (when interviewed after getting his rising star nomination) he said it helped heaps being able to concentrate solely on footy.
  6. I assume you are talking about the TAC cup. Obviously the SANFL is higher standard than this. But I think most recruiters place a high importance on the under 18 championships. Rich played in two senior premierships in the WAFL, but didn’t make the starting line-up of the U18 All Australian team which saw him slip to no. 7. While Scully and Trengove both had great champs, Scully was eligible for two years and made All Australian both times (albeit on a HF line in year 1). He also dealt with tags this year and, IMO, he will go no.1. The best part is that according to most people Scully and Trengove are clearly the best 2 kids in the draft and we have the first 2 picks.
  7. I agree. I really like Wonaeamirri as well. I love the way he celebrates his goals... his last quarter against Freo last year was awesome. Neitz would probably be all time favourite.
  8. You may well be right. No need to have a shot at me though. I think Scully will go at number 1 but I agree with the majority of people that it doesn’t matter. What matters is we will get both of them. Long live Jordan McMahon
  9. Thanks. These scores are indeed impressive. I think Cale Morton ran a 15.2 at his draft camp. These scores would’ve had Trengove in the top 3 at this years draft camp in the beep test, and 2.97 is just outside the top 10 in the 20m sprint. Lewis Jetta ran a 2.95 and I think Butcher ran a 2.99. I’m unsure if the tests are run on the same day but surely they wouldn’t do a beep test and 3km time trial on the same day?
  10. Can’t see Trengove going number 1. He is obviously a very good player and I will be happy to see him playing at Melbourne next year but I think Scully is better. He has handled tags in pretty much every game he has played. Trengove has received many plaudits for playing well in the SANFL but the reality is the standard is way off AFL. I’m glad to hear he tested well in the sprints - would love to see his actual test times, does anyone have these?
  11. I heard Peter Rhode say on SEN that Port expect to trade for a ruckman in the next few days. Is this Jamar or someone else? I would've thought it was Hampson from Carlton but when asked if it was Hampson he said no.
