Tyson ran hard up and down the wing all day, found heaps of space and wasn't nearly as bad as people are saying. His kicking was poor but FFS, the kicking in the game was as bad as any game this year. Why single him out? Melksham was poor for the 3rd consecutive game. He is on thin ice but nobody is challenging for his spot at the moment. Wagner hasn't played enough minutes in the VFL to justify selection. Being BOG is a great sign though and I suspect he will be in for Melksham after one more week.

It's not just about body size and experience. Weideman would not have the tank to play effectively at AFL level. We looked tired enough on the weekend. Essendon ran us ragged. Adding Weideman would make it even worse.

Matt Jones is one of the best 22nd picked players in the league, in my opinion. I think he will be a big contributor with our adapted, open, running game style.

Prestia is in the best 5 clearance players in the league. He's also a great linking, running mid and can kick goals. How anyone can say we don't need him, especially when he is likely to be keen to come to us, is beyond me. Must get.

You don't rush important senior players back for round one just because it's round one. McCarthy, Patton and Cameron are all out. Let Dunn get some match fitness and touch back and let OMac gain some confidence against a depleted side at home.

Apparently he is attracting interest from a number of Melbourne clubs. I would love to get him to the club. He is a huge forward that can ruck, kick goals, good at ground level and he does all of the defensive stuff as well. He wouldn't cost the world and he would complement our lineup perfectly.
