  1. well at least pay half the effort then. You said yourself you got what you expected which was us monstering them, particularly in the last. Those two quarters were 7 goals to zip, sorry we didn't win 14 zip but at least pay some credit.
  2. to be fair, that is precisely what happened in the 2nd and 4th quarters
  3. also, this: Round 8 2015 Sun 24 May 3:20pm v Bulldogs MCG Win 103-64
  4. This is the headline news for me also. It is hard to believe how far we have come in this crucial aspect of the game over the last 2 years
  5. Oliver must play. He is a solid contributor at clearances already, and that's the most important quality for any player to have except maybe contested marking ala Hogan. Jones, Vince, Viney, Brayshaw, Vandenberg, Tyson, Petracca and Oliver in the guts means eventually we will bash most sides into submission.
  6. I was one of the measly 2000 dees supporters that bothered to show up, clearly not many demonlanders posting here were. How many members do we have again? It was Cragieburn not the friggin arctic circle. Maybe the commentary has coloured people's views. I wasn't in the greatest mood at 3QT but we demolished them in the last. It was like there was one team out there. Yes it was a clanger festival but it was a praccy in tough conditions. What is this 'young dogs' BS have we already forgotten we are THE Peter Pan club of the AFL, just replenishing our ranks with zero gamers every year. We are definitely going to win a few more than last year and that's all you can ever really ask. We might have been fairly high strength but missing Hogan is huge. I am pumped we have the opportunity to go 3 from 3 after the Saints match, head into the season with some genuine momentum for the first time in about 20 years.
  7. a Bombers-supporting mate told me he was at training and somebody drove past and wound down the window and yelled YA F--ING DRUG CHEATS! in what must have been an hilarious act of drive-by abuse. My mate said he realises the club will never, ever live it down. I enjoyed the conversation.
  8. hahah 'Demontia' is a good name for MFCSS
  9. would like to break 100 margin for the first time since Round 6, MCG, Attendance: 38799 Sunday, 2nd May 2004, 2:10 PM AEST Brownlow Votes: 3: C Bruce, 2: A Yze, 1: J White Team Q1 Q2 Q3 Q4 Final Melbourne 6.3 12.5 19.9 25.10 160 Carlton 1.3 2.5 4.7 8.7 55 and Hogan for 10, of course
  10. yes but don't you realise they have to pay IT professionals to create and maintain these processes?
  11. as do I, and I think in a roundabout way the club has clued us in to this with the recent comments by Vince.
  12. no bad behaviour from Essendon will make me miss watching the dees play, that's for damn sure
  13. anything that requires human labour/use of utilities/physical rented space/raw materials/hardware/equipment obviously has a cost to produce. Just emailing us a ticket requires some of those things and it therefore has to be covered.
  14. you do realise though that administering tickets for an event is a business that requires work/staff/overheads right? It can't just be free. I do not work for such a company btw lol
  15. oh I take it back then, had they used rotations we would have been flogged
  16. both sides had 8 on the bench anyway so it's not like the port players were dead on their feet or something, with the extra players and shortened quarters I worked out that the average minutes onfield per player is approx. 75% of a regular H+A game, as if rotations made much difference
  17. In a way our club is at stake. It could be the end of us if he leaves and I'm being serious. Our supporter base is in big strife and there are plenty who would take a hit like this as the final straw. We NEED him to stay and be a marquee player and drag us up the ladder or it's very dangerous waters. Dramatic I know but I truly believe it.
  18. do you reckon maybe I was referring to the first 3 named, the alleged 'key' forwards, the ones who weren't in brackets. Maybe? kicked 16 goals between them last year from a combined 30 games
  19. as long as it really needs to be done. Although no points are up for grabs doesn't mean a win doesn't have value
  20. but is the inference that we are better or worse without him in? obviously we are better, so why glorify a match that he was not playing in? we would prefer to beat the dogs, would we not? we would like to head into the season with some momentum for the first time in about 20 years, would we not? hogan would help, wouldn't he? I just don't see the wisdom in acting like it aint no thang that he's being rested, could cost us the game
