Farewell Jesse Hogan
Yes, that is what I am saying. Very far fetched, I know...but, Let's just say his contract ran out this year and Freo have pick 11. Melb and Freo play hard ball and can't agree on a deal. Hogan becomes disgruntled, puts a massive price on his head and threatened to walk into the draft. His manager warns other clubs off him and hes gone. We all know that won't happen, but it could force Melb to take unders for Hogan. History will tell you it's happened in the past and is something we need to be wary of come 2019 I wouldn't put it past Freo to at least consider this as an option.

Just Google search how Luke Ball forced his way to Collingwood. That should explain it for you.

Not if he goes into the draft. And we get no compensation at all.

Farewell Jesse Hogan
I never said he was a free agent. His MFC contract will run out at the end of 2019. Any player can refuse to sign a contract extension and put themselves into the draft. DO YOU REMEMBER THAT'S WHAT PLAYERS DID BEFORE FREE AGENCY. THEY CAN STILL DO IT.

If Dockers finish 18th next year, Hogan walks into the draft and we get nothing. Thank f*** for the Suns & Blues.

Ok then. Now that's over, how do we get May. It's time to build the Steven May thread to 200 pages.- Farewell Jesse Hogan

It would be hard to refuse and Norths list isn't that bad. I would certainly work for a less high-profile company if they offered me an extra $450K. He is only human, and for some people money talks.- Farewell Jesse Hogan
Forgive me if I've missed it, but has it been reported anywhere that MFC have a contract extension offer on the table for Jesse to consider vs. the Freo offer?- Farewell Jesse Hogan
I know you were only joking, but what would they offer him? 2 million a year? (F**k I wish I was Jesse Hogan).- Farewell Jesse Hogan
Very true, but a club would hold a lot more trade power with a 5 year contract up their sleeve.- Farewell Jesse Hogan
When I first heard about Jesse wanting to leave I was shattered. After my brain processed it for a day or two I became genuinely excited about what we could get in return. If (and it's a big if) there is any back flip from Jesse and he doesn't request a trade, he must sign a minimum 4 year contract extension or we must F him off.- Farewell Jesse Hogan
100% agree. It never felt like he was going to become a Demons great (Neitz, Schwarz, Lyon etc ). Did we feel unworthy of his talents? Was the go home factor always in the back of our minds? Was it his body language on field? I'm not sure. Anyway, it doesn't really matter now. Where as once losing Hogan would have been a massive blow to us, not so now. I think its speaks volumes as to how far we have come as a club and a player list, that losing a player as talented as Hogan may possibly be a positive. But that will all depend on what we get back. GO DEES!- Farewell Jesse Hogan
You just made my day!!!- Farewell Jesse Hogan

Hello! MFC! Anyone there?- Farewell Jesse Hogan
Would love some thoughts on what we think is actually going on here. One thing we know for sure is Fremantle desperately want Hogan. Does Hogan actually want to leave?? Is this being driven by MFC?? I have absolutely no knowledge of the situation whatsoever, but i really get the feeling MFC are driving this and happy to lose Hogan. I firmly believe if MFC told Hogan they didn't want to lose him, he wouldn't entertain leaving. He has shown commitment in the past (obviously things can change). I believe MFC are driving this and a BIG FISH is coming our way (not May).- Farewell Jesse Hogan
Love Hogan...but he's worth trading just so all of us don't have to put up with the 'Hogan going home' talk every off season for the next 10 years. ****ing over it! Thanks for the 40 or so goals a year Jesse. All the best. C ya. May for Hogan. I'll take that deal thanks- Nathan Freeman
