  1. Frawley's manager is shopping him around to get the best price for his client, so that he can then go to his client and say "this is how much I can get you" and he can go to MFC and say "this is what you have to match."

I honestly think Frawley has been enjoying his footy the last couple of weeks, and can see the change.

He's also the type to stay unless there's conclusively no light at the end of the tunnel, IMO.

Beyond that, it's in Robinson's interest to spread this sort of carp to strangers.

Spreading Chinese whispers of free agents jumping ship sells more papers, regardless of what the truth is.

If some bloke I didn't know from a bar of soap was pressing me for details, I'd be loyal to my own agenda.

Knowing what we know of him, what do you think Mark Robinson would do?

I can only relay what he said. He seemed quite matter of fact.

  2. I played golf with a mate at The Freeway Golf Club in Ivanhoe today. My mate & I got teamed up with a guy named Mick and his mate was none other than Mark Robinson from the Herald Sun. I waited about six holes before I asked any questions regarding footy. I asked him if James Frawley was leaving and he said "He has been offered contracts from six other clubs and that in my experience that means he's being shopped and he's as good as GONE". He went onto tell me that Frawley manager told him "Melbourne can't & won't match his asking price".

I pressed him once more on Frawley and he said "He's going mate, He's going.......trust me". He added that all players were after the big payday and said that's the only thing Frawley's chasing is the best price. He did tell me a few juicy things about Dustin Martin as well but couldn't print them yet because he couldn't be 100% sure.

  3. Well, that's probably the last time Jack Watts will talk to any of us except in standard football cliches.

    Well done SD.

Have you considered a career with the Department of Foreign Affairs? You could be handy dealing with Indonesia.

Hahahahahahaha !! This has become laughable. I know him through a family friend. I told him what I wrote and he laughed and asked what was Demonland?

  4. Can't win on here sometimes. It's hard to express mood or context but as stated in the OP it was not put to me in a negative light. It was more like "where has this been".

If the mods don't like it. Delete it.

  5. bahahahahahah is this a joke?

I feel hard done by the 5-6 years of a team not having a crack, or seeming to give a damn.

And i have paid EVERY YEAR to feel this way, you Jack and the rest, have been paid quite handsomely to feel "hard done by."

Losers move blame onto other people.

Take some of it onto yourselves please boys, not all of it is the coaches fault.

    Hard done by?

    Spare me please.

No joke mate, he was merely stating that they now felt like they were being coached. He freely admits he's got to improve as the the entire list.

  6. This is probably not a ground breaking thread but I thought I'd share an insight of one of the playing group.

I had a chat with a Jack Watts (not on the family day) about what Roosy was like. Jack told me that they can finally see how a real coach operates after six years of rubbish. The group kind of felt hard done by as its obvious the last 5-6 years were a waste.

Some might read this in a negative light but it's not how Jack portrayed it. It's as though they felt like "where has this been"? Jack said he has never been more optimistic about the year ahead and that PR has had a enormous effect on the group.

Its not massive but I thought it was worth a share.

  7. Just out of curiosity and directed at all who have been attending training sessions this pre season... what's the general consensus regarding Miller's coaching ability? Does he appear to be having a positive affect?

It's hard to say being on the boundry line. All I can say he was quite vocal & plenty of encouragement. He seems to take the rehab group alot.
