Pruess Knee Injury (8-10 Weeks)
You haven't heard of an insurance policy? Preuss is a backup in case Max goes down.

Tasmanian Team
The only issue I have with this is talent. There is already not enough talent to go around for 18 teams adding another will only exacerbate this issue.

To Hell & Back Episode 1
The title is setting up the theme of the season for us. Whether it comes to fruition or not will play out in time but it's nothing more than a marketing tool. If we have another crap season I have a suspicion the title of a preseason promo series will be the least of our problems

Within the next 3-5 years every club will be doing something similar Seriously anyone who complains after watching that will just complain about anything.

Cornes: Dees Win the Preseason
Withholding memberships isn't going to make the club perform any better. In fact withholding financial support is going to be detrimental if anything.
- Wait for this to be rorted!

Draft Trio Impressing
They'll probably get senior games, they may even become key parts of our team. But at this stage the expectation on them for 2020 should be purely on their development anything else is a bonus.

Eddie's Plan to Redevelop the G
Yeah it was, with the coverage from the MCG concourse to Richmond station I don't mind it, would be a good (only?) chance for us to get a training facility incorporated next to the MCG

49ers: From 2nd Last to Superbowl
No holds paid all game which is quite astounding. Seems they were only paying what was blindingly obvious - makes the OPI against Little before the half difficult to explain. Once they threw the flag they had to uphold it but could have easily been a no call. Was almost identical to the one not paid against Thielen when he caught the game winning TD against the Saints in OT a couple of weeks back.

Draft Trio Impressing
Playing devils advocate, I guess they could say something like, "all we want them to focus on this season is their development and consolidating a spot in the starting 18 at Casey"

49ers: From 2nd Last to Superbowl
Definitely. I hate the Pats but respect the hell out of Belichick. The time and preparation he's put into his craft is second to none. As a Jets supporter I wonder what could have been had he remained as coach of the Jets for more than one day. Would he still have succeeded or was it only the right environment and combination of factors that produced it. Similar to Clarkson at Hawthorn, would he have been as successful if he'd gone to Richmond in 2004? Or Melbourne? Gotta have the off field right to let the on field do it's thing. It's funny, reading gridiron genius by Mike Lombardi recently, he made a comment that it's best to defer especially on the road. The rationale being the crowd is loudest for the 1st drive of the game which can impact the offences communication. After half time many people are still making their way back to their seats, in the bars, toilets etc so crowd is much quieter. Same could be said for the superbowl.

49ers: From 2nd Last to Superbowl
Jimmy G had the ball with 2.30 left on the clock and 3 timeouts plus the 2 minute warning. Had the opportunity for a superbowl winning drive if he was good enough. He wasn't. A better QB would have hit that long pass on 3rd and 10 on the dime and gave them 4 shots at the end zone.

49ers: From 2nd Last to Superbowl
A Belichick move. If you get the ball to end the first half, get the ball to start the second half. Potential to get 14 pts up on your opponent and deprive the opposition offence from touching the ball for 45-60 minutes.

49ers: From 2nd Last to Superbowl
I generally post on the NFL page on bigfooty or Jets Gang Green forum if in doing my NFL thing On the 9ers, Bosa is a beast, love watching him play. Mahomes does ridiculous things I haven't really seen other QBs do, throwing across his bodywhike running away from the receiver

49ers: From 2nd Last to Superbowl
I get the arguments about too much down time but when the play is in action it is frenetic. All 22 players involved in the play which means the breaks in play allow for replays of different angles to show you different players/positions you would never have picked up on first view. You could break down one play for 5 minutes if you had the time/inclination. To be honest I prefer that to basketball where there is (relatively) constant play but just end to end scoring. Then you get to the last 2 minutes and it can last for 15 minutes or longer due to deliberate fouls/timeouts. I still like basketball but I don't love it like I do the NFL. It feels like you only really need to watch the last 5 minutes of each game. There are too many games which is another issue. 16 game season in the NFL which means pretty much every game counts. NFL also has a majority of its games on a Sunday - for those who only want action you could give Red Zone Channel a try, skips around between the 8-10 games all being played at the same time depending on where the action is/who is about to score. Due to time constraints that's how I watch most of my American football.

49ers: From 2nd Last to Superbowl
Used to think that but I've grown to love it, only sport in the world that can compare to (or best) Aussie rules. It's like chess on grass the tactical game is absorbing. Throw in the physicality and the off-field/ list management aspects and it's got most bases covered in terms of interest from a fans perspective.

49ers: From 2nd Last to Superbowl
Plus you also have to consider the Andy Reid factor. NFL's answer to Ross Lyon, always the bridesmaid.

I just hope they score more than 3 points! (Sorry, too soon? ?)

49ers: From 2nd Last to Superbowl
Donald Trump's USFL Vince McMahon's XFL is making a comeback next week, lasted one year in the year 2001 I've never been to a live game but I agree, the game is made for TV. The thing I love is the investment they've made in their media, NFL Films have been doing their thing for over 59 years and like MCMahon they had the foresight to save every tape ever recorded. The VFL let theirs rot in channels 7s warehouses until they decided it was too expensive to store and sent it to the top and/or taped over it.
