It has just been announce that Hungry Jacks has withdrawn its sponsorship of the Eagles. All is not lost though. McDonalds have come on board as their major sponsor. To celebrate the new sponsorship,McDonalds and the Eagles have combined to release a new burger. The new burger will be called "The McEagle", and it comes with free coke and ice.

The West Coast Eagles have today suspended Ben Cousins indefinitely after he failed to attend training yesterday. Ben has failed to fulfill his commitments as a professional member of the West Coast Eagles team to such a degree that his current situation is untenable. When Ben has addressed his ability to commit to the required level, his situation will be reviewed. It is with great sadness and regret that the club has been forced to take this action against a much-loved champion who has served this club with great distinction for more than a decade. Chairman Dalton Gooding will be available for comment this morning at 10.15am outside the players' entrance at Subiaco Oval.
