  1. ok Mick cant coach next year but any chance that he could be head of coaching same job as what collingwood have offered.

with viney our coach next year with Mick pulling all the strings then to take over as head coach at the end of next year ?

as they have said he will not be coaching any where next year.

he wants out at years end or so is said.

a year out of football is a long time with how quick the game can pass you bye

and said he would love to coach MELBOURNE

  2. good to see that everything we members are feeling is being shown by Garry.

sounds like he will go in their as smack some head together and wake up the playing group.

also sounds like he really wants Mick there next year

  3. This, I'm guessing, would be the same MCC in which some of the MFC's oldest, most loyal and most generous supporters sit. I don't know where you've been observing from, but the fellow Demons MEMBERS and SUPPORTERS I sit with in the MCC become nothing short of infuriated with some of the weak efforts this year, but you know what? We're there every week, unlike many many MANY other fairweather "supporters". What I find more disturbing is the amount of sycophantic MFC supporters on Twitter who after a perfomance like yesterday's proceed to write to the players that "we're all behind them and it must be so tough for them". TOUGH?? I'll gladly take hundreds of thousands of dollars to dish up garbage like that every week. In most other professions that would earn you the sack. *rant over*

    l second you

  4. Dean Laidley or Mark Williams for coach.

    Midfield coach. Keep Scott West.

Ruck Coach. Scott Wynd, Luke Darcy, Spider Everitt? Someone recntly retired who understands ruck work as a craft.

Forward coach. Chris Grant, Paul Hudson, (struggling with this one)

Defensive coach. Brett Lovett. Get him out of the VFL, he is wasted there. A great backman who understands the modern game.

    Definitely keep Jimmy and Schwab

Replace Connolly. Unsure who the best person is here. Can we lure Neil Balme out from Geelong?

    .

    what about Ratten

  5. It would be better if Dean Bailey followed Neil Craig's lead and resigned. But I can just hear him at the post-match press conference... "We didn't do this... and then we didn't do that... and we've got to do this better..." and so it goes on and on and on and on. I'm sick of hearing the same thing week after week after week.

dont forget we have a young team

  6. dean bailey is the 2nd least successful coach in the afl only behind a coach of the newest club in the competition. in his 3.5 years so far we have finished last, last and 12th with a winning percentage of 26.8%. an absolute disgrace and after todays game it is quite obvious that the players dont respect him or his game plan. what an absolute disgraceful effort put up by the melbourne football club and heads must roll. he apparently took over a bad list and now where are we. we have lost to hawthorn by 8 times in row by an average of 50 points. geelong are 114 points ahead of us at half time. in his 4th year we have looked good at times but now have a losing win loss ratio with 5 games to go. lets send the club a message that we arent going to put up with a losing club any longer. SACK DEAN BAILEY NOW!!!!!

come on give the man a go !

  7. I may not yet be convinced you are the right man to coach the football club beyond 2011, but I liked what I saw from you last night.

When you punched the roof of the dugout in a mixture of both elation and anger, and when you waved that cameraman away and told him to "get fu!%ked", when you hugged Beamer and Jonesy and a few other players on the ground after the win ... I thought ... this is a man who cares about the Melbourne Football Club. I thought ... this is a man who will stand up and fight back when he's pushed around.

Like some other posters, I have questioned your temperament and ability to "fire up" and show some raw emotion and passion throughout your tenure. I believe these qualities are an essential ingredient of success at this level of sport. I won't be doing that anymore. And I'll cop it sweet for having made the accusation.

You showed heart, Dean. You showed ticker. And for that you deserve your shot until the end of the season to earn another contract.

this is a man under pressure that cares that he still has a job next year .

they have come out and said the turn around was from a talk that jim gave.

still a [censored] coach cant wait till next season and l hope with out DEan.

but we have a good run home

  8. HAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH

Na he is a great coach and we need time

GET REAL he sucks WATTS in the back line great idea

we have a bloody good list but no coach to get them up each week
