  1. Why not, RM? It's like a poor script assessment. "Don't like it." "Why?" "Don't like it."
  2. Grasping at straws...
  3. The bloke can tackle and that's about it. Couldn't hit a handball target if he tried and is an ordinary kick. If we can get a 3rd or 2nd rounder, do the deal and run.
  4. I reckon you're viewing the situation in a black and white manner. There is some grey...
  5. Depends how many best 22 players are traded in.
  6. Given we're really clearing out the cupboard, a number of players must be about to nominate us. Otherwise, it doesn't make a lot of sense to me given our lack of decent picks. The list strategy is clearly to up the ante now that we are in our premiership window though. Exciting.
  7. Which could mean some growing pains for the side next year as players get used to playing the game style and with each other. All very interesting this. I like this continued aggressiveness. It seems very foreign to me as a Melbourne supporter.
  8. If you ask Hawthorn fans they'll tell you Buddy used to go missing in the big games too. He hasn't been great for Sydney either. Serviceable at times but not great.
  9. He's ordinary. Vanilla.
  10. I actually think St Kilda will be a lot better next year. They'll be competing for the bottom half of the 8 IMO. They'll get their pressure game back and with a few new additions should win 12-13 games. I know this is about our poor loss to them, but they're better than they dished up this season. Richardson will tweak things and I think it'll do the trick.
  11. Urgh. He's so ordinary. You're wrong on this one, Jason Taylor.
  12. No he wasn't...
  13. What I'm about to say might be unfair, but we've been burnt so many times by ordinary administrations that put their egos first that our distrust is natural. Bartlett hasn't earned our trust yet. He's been behind PJ the whole time. And this may be snobbery, but I've always found it a little odd that he only recently became a Melbourne supporter. Whereas, PJ won me over with his hard work and restructuring of our football club. I would back him to the grave, but Bartlett's reign has been incidental, as @rpfc points out, so he needs to prove himself going forward. Perhaps, with PJ retiring, Bartlett has a chance to do this. I hope he puts our uneasiness to bed very quickly.
  14. I'd do that but spend the first rounder on a ready-made (Shiel, Whitfield, Kelly or Gaff-type). We don't need another draft pick.
  15. Langdon is a butcher. I'd prefer Hunt and that's saying something, because his kicking is ordinary too.
  16. Hope we're one of the first in line. Gun. Outside pace, breakaway pace from the stoppages and ball magnet. Would compliment our midfield beautifully.
  17. So is it Pert then? I know, I know. I'm potentially flaming a fire where there is none.
  18. I don't mind this idea, mate. Hunt's kicking worries me.
  19. I've had a long-running bet with my cousin that Kent would never make it. I stand by this. Nothing lost.
  20. Yeah, I think Clarko could get away with this too, but not sure the MFC have the standing to do this... at this stage.
  21. Were you the large Western Australian female ice addict that greeted me at Perth airport on Saturday morning, Ethan, and told me that I should go back to [censored] Melbourne, because you were a born and bred Western Australian? Or was that someone else?
  22. I'll take May, but he's a bit of a faux tough guy. The old L Dunn again IMO.
  23. Look, I know nothing of the details here, but I will say, if we've banned her speaking purely because of that article, Bartlett is a moron and our leadership is questionable.
  24. So is this the Cox effect at Collingwood? The element of a successful side that every other team tries to replicate the following year. Like Richmond's move it forward at all costs and crumb at contests.
