  1. My old man just messaged me to say apparently Peter Wright has requested to be traded and that we're interested. Has anyone heard this or has the old fella gone off the deep end?
  2. Fremantle are really not very good at doing things are they? FMD, just offer a fair trade and let's get this done. But nope. Instead, Bell starts by posturing and playing games. Do they want to do any other deals this trade period or just [censored] around with Jackson? He's sitting around in Perth going, so I'm going to Freo, right? Peter, I'm coming to you right?
  3. I reckon it's too early to say. Let's see what happens with that pick.
  4. Yeah, I meant more that they still have to pay wages that take up total player payments, so they're not really free.
  5. Effectively free? That's not really how the TPP cap works, Marc.
  6. Absolute turnover merchant, who finds himself at his third club.
  7. The high half forward role and defensive mid role? That'd be Sparrow. If it's the little bit of wing Harmes played, then hopefully it's a Tarryn Thomas or at a pinch Lachie Hunter.
  8. I didn't. I read it as we'll change up our mix a bit. Given what we know RE Grundy, it's likely we'll be anchoring the forwardline around Max and from there, we can get more creative.
  9. How bloody impressive is Tim Lamb? Seems like someone who doesn't suffer fools, but is fair and reasonable too.
  10. For Grundy? Pick 20-25. Whether it's acquired as part of a shuffling of future picks and the Bedford trade, who knows, but we can't sit on our hands and hope Peter Bell grows a brain.
  11. Nah, I reckon we'll move forward irrespective of Jackson and Freo. Worst case scenario we have Jackson, Grundy and Max on our list, but we know LJ will get to a club in the West somehow.
  12. I did wonder whether we were going to look to offload another contract in that $500k range, along with Tomlinson, and Hunt's contract nearer to probably $350-400k. Giving Melksham and Hibberd one year deals on small dollars, along with a two year deal for Smith on small dollars, I reckon we're opening up cap space for a very big fish this year or next.
  13. Sydney allegedly offered him two, so we upped our deal to keep him. Thems the breaks sometimes. It was also reported by @Demons11 (?) that Hunt was offered a deal earlier in the year, which he refused to sign.
  14. Not sure, but perhaps Smith was much cheaper than Hunt? And offers more versatility? I'd say both Hunt and Smith are more athletes than footballers, so I get where you're coming from, but reckon it's a case of Hunt wanting more money and potentially the extra year, versus Smith needing two years and less money.
  15. I meant more that we hadn't tabled a deal, despite a report of it happening.
  16. You are quite comfortably one of the worst posters on Demonland. Congratulations, Big Brain. Let's lock in an untried senior assistant to take over from our 2021 premiership coach. This sort of nonsense belongs on Facebook.
  17. I know there was a report we'd tabled a three year deal, but I wouldn't be surprised if we pushed him.
  18. This is basically where I sit with Toby. I'm not sure Bedford or Chandler are medium term AFL footballers.
  19. FMD. Anyone would think this was Bigfooty and you were an opposition supporter coming in to troll.
  20. How is what supporters say on an independent website at all the club's position on players?
