Eagles play freo, essendon at subi, north at subi and tigers at subi.. there is no way they wont win at least one of these games!

freo are probably our biggest threats and that is only to steal 2nd pick off us.. although they could even beat Carlton tomoz hopefully!

Port Adelaide and Adelaide will probably pick Panos and Tapscott as they usually stick with locals

I am completely on the Scully and Trengove ship! Scully is a freak without a doubt.. and Trengove showed similar in the first half.. he had a poor 2nd half.. but he has been dominating every other game! Trengove can also play forward.. so it would be awesome to use him in the midfield/forward flank position like Geelong do with all of their mids.. gives us more depth!

I will be really [censored] if we pick Morabito over Trengove! He looks ok.. but he looks like a selfish player that tries for ‘glory shots’.. and his kicking is only ok.. I would even pick Kane Lucas ahead of Morabito!

west coast drop Kerr and everyone still thinks they are tanking? are you guys serious? did you not watch last week.. why would they tank when they have winnable games coming up, there is no way they will go the rest of the season without a win.. they do play tigers at subi, freo, etc..

i still think west coast will beat us with that lineup

having said that.. very happy to see PJ finally dropped and the Russian back, that really sucks Watts is sick.. as others have said, it would have been great to see him against a weaker team to what we have been playing!

interesting to see Jurrah on the wing too!

ill try and do a better summary tomorrow but people who were highlights -

Roland Ah Chee (NT) was best on ground in the NT v Qld game for me.. he should be a bit of a gun.. if he slips to round 2 would love to grab him!

Steven May (NT) solid forward. Kicked 3 goals

Gary Rohan (Vic Country) - my god this guy is quick!! very flashy.. doesn’t get heaps of it.. but when he does he produces magic!!

John Butcher (Vic Country) - didn’t get much of it at all.. WA dominating the game was probably why. Seemed to have 2 on him most of the match. He was a little disappointing after a lot of hype.. but I dare say.. he still looked like one of the better forwards today (it was pretty much all midfielders game)

Dustin Martin (Vic Country) - probably Country's best player.. ball magnet! Ended up with 28 possessions!

Kane Lucas (WA) - highest disposals for WA and I think was equal best on ground with Martin! Great player!

Anthony Morabito (WA) - good size, goes hard, flashy, but it looked like he was going for a lot of 'hero' shots when he could have passed it around more

Tom Scully (Vic Metro) - so far above the rest.. total freak!! he runs non stop.. amazing!

Luke Tapscott (SA) - kicked 3 goals.. SA's best forward from what i saw! Great build for a forward

Jack Trengrove (SA) - amazing first quarter.. then went missing..

Matthew Panos (SA) - did some ok things.. but didn’t see much at all after hype.. he didn’t get a lot of deliveries to him though as Tapscott was ripping it up!

I have more players that ill report on tomorrow.. but Vic Metro looked horrible!!

What about that possible pic2 i honestly have no idea who id pic, trengove just went out of it after the first qaureter and a bit barely noticed him after that?

i agree.. after the first quarter he looked amazing and i was thinking hell yeah.. two gun midfielders.. we are set!!

..then he just went missing for the rest of the game! its probably hard to judge him on one game! he has had a few matches with 30 possessions so he will probably still be worth the 2nd pick! he is a good size too!

Now, I know Bryce Gibbs was made a part of the Carlton leadership group before he'd even played a game, but we seem to have taken it to a new level with a player coming out and making statements for the club before he's even drafted...

Butcher also had a 3rd best on and kicked 2 goals to lead Vic Country's goal kickers for the series.. although it seems he is over shadowed by Panos as the best Key Forward in the draft

Kane Lucas apparently had a massive game on Saturday for WA

Darling (WA), Silverlock (SA) and Hicks (Vic Metro) could all be handy forwards looking at their goal kicking so far!

true.. but having watts, jurrah..AND butcher.. plus wonnaz in the pocket is a DREAM forward line!!

i still think we have a bit in the midfield that can develop.. Moloney still has a few years.. Brocky, Nate Jones.. plus Morton, Grimes, Blease are all still so young and should become stars.. and if we get Scully!! it wont be the best midfield in the comp.. but it would be pretty good!

still too early to call though - but its an exciting time!!
