  1. Tough on Vince. He had one bad kick out and everyone acts like he's a massive liability. Been solid all season.
  2. You just watch the non-Victorian fans go up a notch with their cries for the Grand Final to be moved from the MCG now that Richmond have firmly established themselves as hopeless away from home against good opposition.
  3. Smith is third ranked Melbourne player.
  4. He and Pederson are interchangeable imo. Doesn't make much difference who is in, both contribute in the same way.
  5. What's wrong with Oliver? I'm new here.
  6. My 3 world analysis of this 3 word analysis: "Just an analysis"
  7. How could no one have Jetta in their list? And Rigoni over Leoncelli? 1990 to present: B Whelan Wight Hibberd HB Jetta B Lovett G Lovett c Tingay T Viney N Jones HF Lyon Schwarz Farmer F Yze Neitz Robbo R White Oliver Leoncelli I Gawn Vardy Obst J Viney
  8. From a financial point you would think that with Lewis and Vince likely on front loaded contracts and bound to both be retired by 2020, there is wiggle room there. Also consider we're likely trading out to get him, so expect a Tyson, Garlett, ANB, Kent to all be on the trade table.

    Jeffy

Needs to bring more defense to his game. His tackling and pressure acts have been way off this year. Only had one great game and mostly other average games. IMO he's in the twilight of his career and needs to kick 20-30 goals this season to really cement a longer deal. We're seeing now why Malthouse was keen to get rid of him. He needs to turn it around. It seems that whenever the pressure comes and the team is performing and in the sight of finals teams, he drops off. Why?
  10. I think the key thing with Trac is he tends to get the ball along the wing, flanks and pockets. Most of his set shots seem to be on tight angles.
  11. Yes Gawn too. First game back.
  12. It was pretty awesome watching Lewis kick a goal after the siren after being booed all game following the round 2 fiasco. Blues supporters were burning. We'll win by 80+ imo.
  13. Also consider we essentially gave up Kelly for him Also got Salem though.
  14. Very tough on Weeds. It's becoming a standard game from him though. Time we acknowledged that as a fan base. Still walk up 22 but he's not anywhere near his best. He's still maturing as a player and, most notably, as an adult. He still seems like a teenager to me. Love him though.
  15. The problem with garlett isn't so much his goal kicking ability. It's his ability to apply pressure when things aren't going our way. I am not sure dumping a Spargo or ANB for Garlett after the past few weeks is a good decision. Jeffy needs to bring the non negotioables for a few weeks to be considered imo. ANB is struggling but he still competes and brings pressure. Unless Garlett is running in a straight line, he's ineffective.
  16. Carlton. I don't want them to come in winless against us.
  17. Like the bounce, subjective application of the rules, and pie temperature.
  18. Playing the Northern end has been a trait for as long as I've been supporting (early 90s). Sitting in AFL Members, it stands out because you have to rely on the scoreboard to see what's happening unless you're on the upper levels. However, I have noticed with Goodwin last year and this year, we are working to take advantage of the southern wing more often. This may be contributing to our lulls during games: growing pains, perhaps? As others have mentioned it appears the coaching team is aware of it. I think that in pushing and switching to the southern wing more often, we're forced out of a comfort zone. We did seem to get better at playing the MCG as the season went on last year (round 23 being the exception). Hopefully with time this year we'll work our way through those growing pains.
