  1. all these comments about defensive game plans are just absurd. I think with roos, one of the things that makes him such a great coach is that he is very inclusive, and by this i mean, the players will have a say in how they play, not all the say but at least some input, this will make it so much easier for the leaders to actually lead and direct on the field, as they understand the game plan so much better. Thats probably what helped sydney players become such good leaders.
  2. i'd pay his salary to be that fly! but if it happens need to give credit to the group, they must have shown maturity and a thirst to succeed to get him pumped up. We should thank neeld as it was surely shannon burnes who convinced him.
  3. I believe so, he doesn't need to speak to them, he has their respect before he has even walked in the door. for him to come, the entire club needs to be proactive about getting it done, this an example of that. The leadership group need to show him they are serious about becoming a good football side,
  4. not saying he didnt have interest and i to, agree it is a very good sign, but him meeting them should not be seen as a tease to the players if he ends up saying no, as they asked to meet him and put their case to him. which on evidence seems to have done anything but harm to our chances.
  5. possibly, but maybe the players wanted to meet him to prove them selves to him and show they are worth coaching. That could be one of the main catalysts in his change of guard.
  6. he said, if pj asks him to make a decision this week, he will... could be tomorrow, wednesday, friday who knows!!? one other comment at the start, when mike said "you're the only that knows" and then roos with a laugh said "possibly" insuating everyone already knows it's done
  7. the media and us are milking the hell out of this, one second he has signed, one second he hasn't and we are playing right into their hands, i have seen many on here say how they are constantly trawling the the radio, tv and all websites trying to find info...just what they want, we just keep coming back to them for more. Clever by the club as well, as we are getting so much added positive exposure before it's even official, and we all know it will flow once he signs, but maybe not as much due to the size of this finals series, but we have made up for it now. right now we are the talk of the town for all the right reasons. Great management.
  8. should i pat my self on the back for creating this?
  9. i was looking for a laugh. he is crap, you ask any footy fan, you'll get one of two responses "delist him" or "lynden who?" The fact that this has been argued for six pages show how stupid and blind some are. It's also symbolises why this club as a whole is a basketcase.
  10. how the F! has there been six pages on this player? shows how little football knowledge some have on this forum
  11. he has stated he can't do it because of the location but not because he doesnt want to coach, this would have to be good news for us? it seems he will coach, just not anywhere in qld
  12. and he ummed and ahhh too mucuh! sack him! who wants to lead a coup with me?
  13. just wasted 10 minutes of my life, nothing knew was said at all except that jack watts is a required player.
  14. i'm just happy he isn't a melbourne man... new blood fellas (had connections with pj, not don and his crew) , just what we need (hopefully)
  15. though none as a player, firing bailey was the wrong move, not hiring him, and the reverse for MN. I think bailey would of got us where we wanted to go. Neeld was just a flop, so all i'm saying is, that if we get another untried with much more experience in the system, i wont be happy but i wont think it's the beginning of the end. Bailey wasnt the [censored], Schwabb was.
  16. agreed, but it's almost cryptic the way they talk in the media these days, definitive words are rarely spoken, most of the time it's left to our interpretation. So if we did get another untried and we all kicked up a fuss, the response could be, well " he has been an assistant for 10 years, been involved in flags as coach and player, thats what i would call experience". Maybe i'm over thinking it and just plain paranoid after so many disgusting decisions and can't envision a experienced head coach at the helm until its actually happened. I wont be surprised if its an untried with a long cv
  17. but has pj stated those words? or just an experienced coach?
  18. could the word "experience" in these terms mean someone who has been in the afl system for a very long time? Neeld was a baby, had only done 4 years under MM, if the average trade apprenticeship is 3/4 years then you'd think and AFL one would have to be a lot longer! who had even heard of neeld before the months leading up to his appointment? hinkley, alan richardson, gavin brown ect have been in the game as long as i can remember. Neeld was simply an inexperienced AFL coach not just an inexperienced head coach, his CV was amateur. if we sign another untried coach, i want his CV to be long and filled with accolades at the highest level as a coach and player, NOT ocean grove premiership and i don't want another bloody school teacher, neeld probably spoke to and treated them like teenagers..
  19. also calls a kent a mature ager.. what a f'ing moron this guy is! pedo got a 3 yr conract, not 2. only thing nice to read was the tayla adams mention
  20. why did we have to consider vlad? why do we always rely on an outsider to bring us back, whether it be vlad or the 1000th "saviour", no other club does, we should of said sttuff you to vlad and take the fight right up to him and his friends. That would of helped build a strong united culture, which ultimately would far out weight the cost and time of the process. of course, this soft pathetic club folded. if we took it up to them we wouldnt be in vlads hand, but he got what he wanted and now has our arm twisted. on a better note, did anyone see the add for footy records? it was filmed at a dees game, with a kid in melb jumper and his dad, barracking for st kilda cheering on reiwoldt. What amatuer garbage...are these the people that we want to effectively run our club? that makes schwabb look pro.
  21. Would anyone be able to put a video together of all the goals and A grade marks he has taken at the dees? The guy is seriously underrated by the public, before his injury he was kicking goals just as difficult as buddy's but also taking the marks buddy could never dream of taking. Yet people barely said a word, hopefully a video will get him a little more recognition, and truthfully i want to show it to all my delusional carlton supporter friends.
  22. it wasnt brad miller, it was ryan ferguson in his first match (pre season cup)
  23. same questions as usual, roos still could not completely end the speculation. "right now i'm not interested in coaching in 2014" maybe he may he mite GMF? surprised no one has asked this yet. He would be heavily involved but of the spot light. Maybe roos as GMF and someone like ling as coach? That gets me excited. If its true about him getting pick to hand pick his group then being GMF would make sense, he would assemble the football department. Surely if he came on as coach he wouldnt pick GMF?
  24. swans gws game at half time, lynchy asked roos the question got the same response. how ever it was not roosys response that got my attention but more the cheeky little grin on lynchys face while roos answered. Anyone else notice this and take anything from it?
