you never know though, it really could bind them together. another belief though, it will take something unprecedented to turn this club around and meeting of this manner is pretty damn unprecedented.

ok i'd ask why the entire time team isnt in the huddle before the game and during breaks more camaraderie please!, why when we get a 50 metre penalty in the backline the players jog up the field rather then busting a gut to make an easy option up the field, why the players think standing there calling for the ball is enough instead of pushing hard into space so they can get out with out 3 opp players breathing down their throat.. it's little things like that will change everything.Don't try tell me its fitness because they didn't do it all day. supposedly the boundary rider said that when the dees players came to bench they hadn't even broken a sweat compared to the port players who were knackered! and back to camaraderie, why they don't get around each other when they kick a goal, mitch clark has not played for nine months comes on kicks two great goals in the first quater, maybe 2,3 players went up to him. i promise you wouldn't see that happen in a tight knit football team. it seems like they only care for individual success and not of their team mates. i'll come up with plenty more but thats a taster for you.

i you think the players read those emails? its not even what about what we'd all say. its deeper then that. there was no effort today nor has the been for the last 7 years and i'm sure they have gotten plenty of emails over those 7 years about this. to hear it from a massive group of unified supporters personally i reckon that would be pretty damn powerful a hell of a lot more then an email. im sure it would hurt all the players to sit their and cop it, but i'd bet my life they'd never want to be put in that position again and you'd hope they'd do everything in their power to avoid...like playing with heart and effort!

no mate, it needs to bigger then that i think your missing the point. I don't want to be adressed i want to be the adresser! the coaches and players should get no chance to speak until every supporter who wants to speak has spoken. I don't want sugar coating from the coach, if someone asks exactly what the game plan is then i want to hear what it is! who cares if it gives us away, we are a rabble anyway

the entire club needs to come together for a meeting. supporters included it can take plac at MCG and any supporter who wants to speak can speak with club officials allowed to say nothing untill everyone who wants to speak has spoken! as if we are putting them on trial. no longer should we just vent and then move onto next week, it's time they know they don't always have the answers and in some cases the instincts of the supporters are indeed correct because it seems everyone else is able to see the problems except them "even blind freddy" MCG may be a stretch but you get the point, lets make this happen.

yes i agree we should support, but we should let them know how we feel! would hawthorn, collingwood or any other successful club's supporters just accept it with out savage back lash? no! they'd go feral. they will respond to our passion, but a timid response like your suggestion shows them nothing except that they can get away with it scott free.

I knew we were f@#ked before the first bounce. The Melbourne players all huddled together - all except for the bench. This only happens at melbourne where the camaraderie is clearly missing! .Mitch clark - the guy hasn't played for 9 months and kicks the first 2 goals, did any get around him? NO! .Jack Viney - first game, ripper goal does anyone get around him? NO! .there is no encouragement, anyone who has played football understands how important camaraderie is! they have to get around each other, just show us that they frequin care! . We (supporters) need a culture change as well. 200 power supporters out voiced us before the game and for me that set the tone for the rest of the day.Our entire club is weak and insipid!

This will be brief but straight to the point.. Our forward line has been significantly improved, with the dawes and burns acquisition, our midfield, we have added rodan, viney and hopefully wines and lost moloney and gysberts who played 12 games between them this year, you'd like to think thats an improvement our back line has always been fine, but adding pederson will only strengthen it and add flexibility all over My point is everyone we lost, (bar rivers, who played forward for the better half of the year was replaced by dawes you'd like to think thats an improvement) had no impact this year, there were 19 games played between moloney, martin and gysberts. thats a quick positive way to look at this entire scenario. We have not lost anything from last years 22, but only added players who we know can play some what. Rodan and byrnes up and running are improvements on bail/bate and bennel, dawes and pederson on martin and rivers as well, then wines and viney for beamer and gys. Not as bad as we all think.

I am getting doubtful about how savvy our negotiations have been...playing our cards too early or playing cards we don't have. It cost us in the Dawes deal and it may cost with Pederson. even that is the case, we are the position that allows us to, neeld has clearly stated about bringing in that mix of youth and experience, we have secured 3 top 5 picks plus barry, and we are over a month away from the draft. Most likely scenario is pick 4, viney then upgrade of a rookie, so for us to trade a 2nd round pick which we had no intention of using is no different to trading a 3rd/4th round pick

anyone worrying about the lack of picks in the "super draft" should fear not. we started with 3,4,13,26 and have ended up with 3 top 5 picks, plus dawes. essentially we paid picks 13 and 26 45 for dawes, barry and 58.. I'll take it! clever manipulation if you ask me. Bringing in Hogan also gives us the chance to give another 50/50 player who obviously has talent another year to prove him self (gysberts)

Did anyone notice him calling players by first/nick name basis? e.g. bate as "batey" or chip as "jimmy". Any one think there is anything to it? I wouldn't be surprised if he was working behind the scenes? just another way to shove it up the ferals

and josh hunt has 3 premierships to his name...i'd take a player of josh hunts calibre any day. Not every player can do everything, most have many limitations, it's about playing role and being effective. Tapscott will be an imposer and if coached well his kick will be a lethal asset to the team. Rather then focus on limitations why not focus on what they can do? so sick of people expecting players to be able to do everything!

take of this what you will... A close friend, who i believe not be a s#@t talker, has told me he was sitting next to dawes and wellingham and told me this, "dawes and welligham were there and im almost 100% sure I heard dawes say his signed with melbourne" hopefully there is some truth to this

if he can "trust" them and they are for melbourne you would expect that they can "trust" ox not to going spreading it all over live tv. Load of crap I reckon.... any one with half a brain from the club who actually had real info would know not to tell him. As someone stated in the beamer reinstatement thread, it seems as though we are a well run club who don't leak things. Why would we tell a prominent media person who is known to make up facts?
