I disagree on Garlett this year. Hasn't deserved it. You have to earn it,,, by doing the things 'the coaches' and 'the team' want/need. Not watt 'you', want to do only. Watt was quick as well, like a fox, unfortunately. But not so much a 'team' man. just one of the' buoys'. floated around waiting. 'watt of the wisp'. We want pace, with 'attitude',,, or 'brute', see Danger. 'will of the wisp', not so much. I guess that's why we got Spargo, and Baker, both have 'tude'. But both not what i'm talking about. 'De Goey will be hotter property, and I am thinking he's skills are a better investment, than Gaff's gut run. .

And all of them were here at a time, 'when',,, and now we need those memories, out of the building. Jones aside, as he is not one to be lead astray; but is a leader. rarity.

Why do you say, 'instead of teaching him'? Don't you reckon we've been trying to get him to use the ball better since last season ? The coaches of course, would have been working on that with him. And so we have worked hard on getting ur half back sorted so we use the ball better coming out of defence. We have been much better at this, in 2018. But sadly Hunt has not been able to capture his best form, from the wing. Our depth has miraculously improved from defence, since we recruited Lever, and others last year.

I already have FAR more respect for Fritz than I ever have had for watts. Apart from Watts's first 3 seasons. He just got worse as he matured.

And guess who could have played on him. Lever action. Now we'll have to rely on Joel ? I guess. We're all half right, you bloody lefty, you you you you.

We can do it, IF we want to. Mind you it doesn't have to be DeGoey, but he has that x factor. Whitfield, Kelly, and no doubt others can do it. But do they carry X factor.

As I said I like Gaff... but with our dwindling resources in the salary cap, this deecision is Crucial, to get it right. We are very one geared. We are very much a power geared side,,, and i want us to add an extra dimension to our run and carry. Pace, breaks big games open.

So you think Gaff is quick enough, to bring us what we lack in the midfield. ... which I think is midfield speed and agility..

I do not think Petracca will ever be a fast Mid. I see Petraca as more a power mid, power medium-forward. But not so, agile and quick. I sense DeGoey is quick by foot, and his footy mind.

I haven't watched him on enough occasions to debate that, but his recent games suggest he's adequate.? The way I see it is this,,, Gaff has been said to be soft, & too much an outside player,,, in past seasons. Only this season has he started to get more contested ball, and started to play inside at the bounce, etc. Why only this year... and is this just a contract year thing for him... I like Gaff, but I want us to look far and wide this season for the right player fit for us... Prior to us committing our last bit of salary cap space on another medium-speed midfielder. I don't think Gaff's 'quick', by any real measure, but maybe not slow. SO I wonder how he will add speed and a point of difference, to our midfield list? DeGoey certainly would add some speed, and a touch of magic to our on-ball division, and the list? Surely both would cost us similar, in terms of salary cap numbers.?

So now, Dee Goey anyone ? Forget Gaff, Jordan is the won we want. the Roos are into him, for good reason... he's a match winner.

All true 'Hem', but neither of them are one of my mates. So you were right,,, in a professional game where trades are allowed, and talk of a mid season trade period, it is, a Meat -Market mate. Now lets get to buisness.

In strong drafts, we could do a bit with a number of 2nd Rnd and 3rd Rnd picks. We could trade up fairly well. I would be looking to trade off Kent back to the West, if we could get something decent with tour returns. Wet Toast might be looking to top up their list, as they think they're not pretenders. They might like some insurance for cover, as they're window opens in the breeze.

ah, sorry Dl. They are years old. I haven't checked them for that long. I thought they were from yesterday, & maybe some Asian was trying to send me an email to open.
