  1. this is it in a nutshell. Played out of position, and our Mids are way too easily controlled.
  2. I like your creative thinking JDM. Agree with most.
  3. Younger ones born around 1980 and after, have been spoilt for Lux. In their time.
  4. Its longer than the 'G'. We haven't played the wider and bigger grounds well, as yet. Narrower grounds, we've handled.
  5. He sure did early. Or we played into his hands... pretty dumb footy. Still, we were scraping the barrel, looking for who to play. And still are, again.
  6. Yeah, I forgot all about Hunt being hurt again. So he's another out. We are running out of soldiers.
  7. A bigger expanse of space to cover. I think JKH stays in for his run _ Melky obv's in. Hibbo obv's in. Weide in for Hogan. Kent in or Hannan in ??? I would like to see Kent on the bigger ground, in his home state. - - - - - I think Spargo goes out, with Fritta... Both fatigued. IF we get in, we'll need both boys fit and mentally freshened in 2 weeks time. Garlett on thin ice, did not contest a mark in the goal square in the 3rd... allowed the Swans a simple mark and clear the ball, without any earning it at all. He hoped the swan player would simply drop the mark. ? With that, i'm unsure of Hunt, maybe stays for one more on the big spacious ground ? I would keep Pedo in for cover, both down back and following... and can help Weide out if necessary. Pedo knows Weides game well.
  8. How about a referendum ? or a plebiscite, for the numbers your honor?
  9. Hogan, TMc, Pedo, at this point. Weide to play deep, with Gawn resting there. What we don't have is collateral to trade/spend, for a Whitfield or the like. Hogan was the one for this.
  10. We can, that's what the Hogan thing was about, rdr.
  11. We need May big time, at the moment. Lever is no guarantee to last out 2019_ as we've seen first hand with the Swans Alex Johnson. Also lever himself, its his 2nd ACL. David Schwarz. Lets get after May this year. ... and look to trade in 2019_ for whitfield or kelly (I don't think we can afford kelly)
  12. bugga. Well that leaves us now in a position, forced on us, to play a better forward structure. # on the weekend... rot. Jesse has been hobbling for some time. notably against the Crows. . What are the doctors doing... how many stress fractures go un-diagnosed, until its plainly obvious to the TV cameras ?
  13. Hogans best position is playing, high 40+ out from goal, and around the centreline... Taking marks in the wide part of the ground, and bringing the ball in to our deeper players... a true CHF position. Jesse is a natural, roaming wide to find the footy__ Which is why i wanted us to take him, some years back. TMc is better standing his ground to take strong overhead marks than Jesse. TMc has a better leap into a pack, from the rear or the side. Add Pedo, who is another like these two, more like Tmc. Weide is different, in that he plays more like a tall forward, Re packs, high marks, and as a follower__ Which is why I wanted him in the first place, some years back. I also wanted Grundy.? .
  14. whats happened, I have see any news yet.
  15. No MSF, I don't watch fox. But my point is nothing to do with Hogan's ability. We have too many players for his position, compared to elite mids we don't have. He is not suited close to goal, with the way we bring the ball in. Weideman is better with the high ball than Jesse. Jesse would be better playing Petracca's role, than playing deep. half-foward/mid. The whole gist of my points are to trade, to get elite mids into the club. We have to give something, to get something. Hogan will be a star somewhere. No point having star forwards, if they can't get the ball in the first place. This is our dilemma.
  16. yes it is Drts. We have too many of the same types, in relation to our needs; as forwards and as mids.
  17. No, msf, its confidence related... but the problem remains... our midfield needs better mids, who use the ball smarter. We still have to somehow,,, get those players onto our list. it's imperative we do, because we are crucifying our tall forwards, and the smalls as well to a lesser extent. Hogan is out of position for his skills.
  18. Its because I challenge the status quo... and because of this; I think outside the status-quo box,,, so then I have different thoughts/ideas, to those conservatives caught up within that box. 'They', just do more of the same,,, each time. coming up with the same results time after time_] I challenge them _ from the words of the song to the mental theme of the club and supporters. from the culture,,, to the vibe/noise in the stands on game-day. I am getting results... back at the expense of my own well-being. .
  19. ... his current method does not work closer to goal.
  20. sshhh, go back to sleep swyl, back on your bottle lil fella.
  21. very good 'HT', I think... this is my interpretation of bathwater as well... # note; it seems different to Maxy's version of bathwater drinking. I think Maxy must think of 'bathwater drinking', as being like tossers with heads bigger than hot air balloons. * not so Maxy. .
  22. that's your problem swyl, your wide awake. back on the bottle ol boy.
  23. I think we will still make the top 8. That's not the point tho. Our issues on-field, playing, are still there to be sorted out. The only way is forward, and to make changes to improve.
  24. Here came the clubs excuses and spin. So he's been injured for the past 2 years. He's not a F-Forward.
