  1. Six to Tappy as the lead goes out to 40 points!
  2. No offence taken. It looks like good news today and if they go on to win this one then perhaps we'll see a turn around in Melbourne's fortunes.
  3. Appreciate that Forest Demon. Two reasons for my limited posting:- 1. Down to 39% on the iPhone and 2. The canteen. Cheers & back soon!
  4. Casey finished the quarter off strongly to lead at the main break 14.4.88 to 8.5.53. Stats: Magner 18 Clisby 15 Gent Couch 13 Tapscott 12 Strauss Bail 11 Tynan Gawn 10 Tappy has five goals! Goalkickers Tapscott 5 Kearns 2 Bail Evans Gawn Hogan Jetta Kent Magner
  5. Frankston are a much improved side this year and unlike Melbourne they're not giving up. They just keep coming back and it's 11.3.69 to 8.5.53 but Dean Kent has just kicked a ripper - three bounces and a kick from outside 50 makes it 22 points the difference. Tappy is playing like a man inspired - he's everywhere and seems to have lifted enormously in pace, endeavour and confidence.
  6. Tapscott now has four goals and Casey lead by 29 points. Amazing what a bit of confidence can do to a player.
  7. Ben Kearns who is fresh out of Gippsland Under 18's now has kicked a couple. First two goals of the term by the Scorps pushes the lead out to 23 points.
  8. Quarter Time: Casey Scorpions 8.2.50 lead Frankston 6.3.39 Beat Melbourne's score from last night already but the bad news from next week's perspective is that the best players are all rookie listed or named Hogan. Stats: Clisby 11 Magner 9 Couch 8 Goals: Tapscott 3 Kearns 2 Evans, Gawn Hogan
  9. Right now Strauss is getting a bit of towelling. His opponent who I've never heard of has just kicked his second.
  10. Tapscott & Evans goal. Scores 2.1.13 to 2.1.13
  11. Details from the Development League game. Goals Casey Scorpions Hughes 3 Matthews 2 Lang Meadows Nicholls Taggert Best Casey Scorpions Nicholls Pollard Hill Waters Troutman Rutherford The crowd is observing a minute's silence for 2006 Scorpions B&F David Biagi, who died of cancer late last year.
  12. Result of the Development League game was a solid win to Frankston 12.14.86 to 9.3.57. Back later with details but I did see Rory Taggert among the Casey players.
  13. Not at the ground yet but 3/4 time score is Casey 8.2.50 Frankston 7.10.52.
  14. Development League Half Time Casey Scorpions 5.2.32 trail Frankston 6.8.44
  15. Want to catch a glimpse of the club's future this afternoon? Step down to Cranbourne East and watch the youth of the club have a crack at selection in the senior team. Cheers.

  18. Jack Trengove had a quiet day but seemed to be gaining confidence and touch the further the game went. Max started tentatively at his first ruck contest but was soon into it although a little rusty. Given that it was his first outing since late 2011 and he virtually battled single handedly in the ruck (he changed with Cranbourne recruit Michael Boland in the first half but that player was "subbed" off at the main break), it looked a positive start for him. The Hawks had a tall side and didn't make things easy for Max.
  19. He did. Played very well and would be a very good chance to fight his way back into the Melbourne team next week.
  20. Final siren Box Hill 10.12.72 to Casey Scorpions 4.17.41. Stats: Magner 36,Terlich 33, Couch 29, Davis 27, Clisby 23, Evans 22, J.Tynan 21, Barry 18
  21. Yes ... probably pre planned.Meanwhile, another goal to Kearns but a Box Hill player lining up for goal ... and misses. Less now 31 points.
  22. Box Hill now 35 points in front and coasting. Terlich still best for Casey. Maxy in the rooms and Casey have no ruckmen.
  23. Another goal to Box Hill and the lead is out to 4 goals. The Hawks are bigger and stronger and out marking Casey right across the ground.
