  13. Sunday will see the last Demons run out on a footy field for 2017. The Development League team play in the grand final against Williamstown. I don't expect any MFC listed players to take part but for Melbourne, it's the last gasp of 2017 anyway.   16. It's a big night for the VFL with the player awards culminating with the Liston Trophy for the league's B & F. Casey Demon's Development League player Goy Lok has won the last A. Todd Medal as that competition is ending with Sunday's grand final between Casey and Williamstown. Bayley Fritsch is the 2017 Fothergill Round Medal winner - for best potential young talent in the VFL. Most of the past winners have been drafted and Fritsch will be no exception. Daisy Pearce, Melissa Hickey, Lily Mithen, Richelle Cranston and Karen Paxman have all been named in the VFL Womens Team of the Year.
