  1. JKH gets the ball rolling for Casey with his first major (from 65 metres mind you) after Coburg kicks the first goal of the half.

  9. Coburg start the second the way they started the first - with a goal.
  10. Sam Weideman just slotted his second for the day. If you add the goal assist to help Balic with the team's first and he's having a handy start. QT: Casey Demons 5.2.32 to Coburg Lions 2.0.12 Goals Weideman 2 Balic Hannan Stretch Disposals Maynard 9 Weideman 7 Hannan Hunt 6

  21. PETER JACKSON VFL 2018 - PRACTICE MATCH CASEY DEMONS v BOX HILL HAWKS Casey Fields Saturday 17th March, 2018 at 12.00pm I’m a long way from the City of Casey and it’s hard to find out any news from home but it looks as though there are going to be a few Demons taking the field in today’s VFL practice match at Casey Fields (clubs need to get special permission to enable those who have had interrupted pre seasons to play this weekend). Star Dees to make R1 bid in VFL hit-out “A HOST of Melbourne players will be looking to confirm their selection in round one when they run out for VFL affiliate Casey Demons in a practice match against Box Hill at Casey Fields on Saturday. The Demons have decided to take the opportunity to get valuable game time into Jeff Garlett, Neville Jetta, Dom Tyson, James Harmes and Dean Kent after interrupted pre-season programs due to injury.” Others who have been in rehab and who will play are Sam Weideman (ankle surgery) and Joel Smith (broken leg). However, Jack Viney who was at one stage expected to play in this game, has been ruled out. I look forward to reports from those who can make it down to Casey Fields.
  22. Yes, it would be good to be up against the strongest possible opponent as the start of the season nears but the Dolphins are close rivals and need the football community’s support as they regroup after a year out of competition.
  23. Two more recruits for the Casey Demons are Nilma-Darnum (Ellinbank & District Football League) midfielder/forward Ben Campbell and 203cm ruckman Julian Patterson from Gippsland Power.
  24. Noble Park full-back Ryan Morrison, Mitch White (MFC), Jay Lockhart (North Launceston) and the returning James Freeman all signed with Casey Demons last night. Tweet from Paul Amy.
