  1. Damn auto spelling on an iPad. Obviously I meant Gorilla back-man (auto spell nearly tripped me up again). I should proof read a little better when I post ?
  2. If it is 2 first rounders from Freo, it simply has to involve their first pick (ie. 6 & 10, not 9 & 10). Trade pick 10 + later pick to GC for May + KK. Get a gorilla Blackman to sure up the defence, KK to run the wings and rebound off hb, then either go to the draft and bring in one of the King twins to develop into that missing KPF (preferably ben as he has proven to be capable at both ends) or trade it for another quality player. Make the best of a bad situation.
  3. Would be a huge loss if he goes. We would need to be duly compensated..........Luke Parker please!
  4. Gotta give quality to get quality Moon and make no mistake, Kolodjashnij is quality. I figure our second rounder this year or next won’t be enough.
  5. Would be daylight robbery if we got away with that
  6. Indeed it is ck. He always rocked a great tan in his playing days. would be happy to give up a future first round pick for him. 15-20 is fair value for him. A good player who has battled concussion (we’re as good a club as any to help him combat it). would be a massive upgrade on Smith playing on the HB line.
  7. A fantastic and very prudent observation bells. Hogan is definitely worth twice the value of Weller, but for arguments sake let’s say a very conservative and generous for Freo, 1.25. That right there is the value of 1.25x 2517 points = 3146 points, aka pick 5 and pick 12. That then becomes pick 10 if Freo’s Pick 5 gets pushed out to 6 due to the Lynch compo.
  8. No matter what we get in return, losing Hogan instantly makes us a worse team. He is an a-grade CHF with at least 9 year’s of footy ahead of him. You build teams around blokes with his level of talent. He is a known quantity, a very valuable quantity. Draft picks (no matter how high) are an unknown quantity and remain so for a few years once drafted. 2 top 10 picks has to be the minimum, and that is to try and bring in ready made talent, our time of relying on the draft is over, we are building for the now. The only drafting of KPP kids I would dare dream of is the King twins. And that is a pipe dream that would still take years to come to fruition.
  9. That equates to Kent being a second rounder then. LOL.
  10. If he grows to love the club that’s great, but Bartlett was exactly what we needed at the time (a breath of fresh air), someone who wasn’t part of the old boys club, who could make tough decisions without the weight of the history of the footy club on his shoulders. PJ was this also. CEO runs the business (would still prefer for it to be Pj but he has announced his retirement), Goody in charge of the players and Mahoney in charge of the FD. President needs to take a backseat and oversee everything in the background. We’d all love PJ to continue on, but he has made it clear that will not be the case. Who else would we want as CEO? Pert is as good as any imo, regardless of how he was appointed.
  11. Yep, the time is now. We are entering our window, time to bring in ready made quality to join our list. The time is now
  12. Totally agree MD516. Anything less than 2 first rounders (especially a high first round pick) and we must simply not do any deal. Like you have said, we gave up 2 first rounders for him, then when he went through all his dreadful times we have stood by him and supported him. The article suggests he is open to a trade if we are, leading me to assume he will only go if we get his market rate in return.
  13. I'd argue that he'd need to be able to play both forward and back. Intercept defender and bomb it in long option to either mark or bring ball to ground.
  14. love the lack of quotes and citing of sources there. FMD, journalism in this country is so amateurish, there is a complete lack of integrity. Would get more accuracy from Chinese whispers than through media outlets nowadays, lol. For the MFCSS sufferers out there, fear not. Hogan cannot sign a contract with Freo due to him having one in place with Melbourne until the end of the 2019 season. He can only sign off on one once we agree to trade him, which would result in the outcome being of great benefit to us, as oppose to being held over a barrel for scraps. Fear not.
  15. Was a true clubman. What was the deal to get him here? Gysberts and a swap of late picks? Big winners there!
  16. BS isn't it mauriesy........ Like saying 'day-time would instead be night-time if there was no sun'. [censored] article by Denham (surprise surprise), aimed at getting as many clicks from the lowest possible denominator. Gutter journalism at its finest.
  17. Petty was given his debut wayyyyyy too soon, so much so that it probably damaged some of his development he gained through the VFL. IMO it was very poor coaching by Goodwin and co to select him when they did. He is only a kid, a KPP at that. They tend to develop a lot slower than mids, so i'd have him play the majority of next year with Casey (maybe have him play in the JLT to further his understanding of just what level he needs to get to). I'd only bring him in to the team again when he is banging the door down at Casey (and not just because he is sticking to his structures well).
  18. We need our accuracy in front of goal to go up not down. Imagine Billings and Petracca in the same forward line. 2.7 between them ?
  19. second most to the filth. They got something like 96 total votes, we got 93. WDFD, they're in a GF and we aren't. Sidebottom is and Mitchell isn't. That's the one that really matters
  20. Max Gawn 6 votes after 10 rounds. Hell, Brodie Grundy only has 4 votes yet sidearse has 13. We all know that the Brownlow is a midfielders award, but tonight with the above votes only further establishes how little a clue these muppets have when it comes to the best players on the ground.
