  1. I could wait another 4 if it meant I got to see another one. To be honest, so long as I get to see another premiership, I don’t really care how long it takes.
  2. Agree, disgrace is taking it too far. A wasted season, yes. Embarrassing, well that’s on the coaches refusing to change things up, imv. But never a disgrace. If anything, our season’s end only highlights to me how rusted on a supporter I am. It hurts only because I care for this footy club so much. The beauty of footy is that we get to go again in 6 months time. Luckily I am still young enough that I should still be around to see our next premiership, though hopefully it won’t take another 56 years. My heart will forever continue to bleed red + blue til the day I die. MFC forever.
  3. Would be interesting to see what the outcome would be if every club listed the same top 3 draft prospects.
  4. Swans. They deserve it, but also the good old theatrics of the Lions with their constant complaining whilst being serial offenders themselves sees my disdain for them grow each week. They are a bunch of sooks, lead by their captain and coach.
  5. Only to open up another if he does go.
  6. Started year 10-0, only to go out in straight sets. The fact that teams cottoned on to how to play us and that we had no plan B or C and only became more stubbornly reliant on an ineffective style is an indictment on the entire coaching team. A wasted season indeed.
  7. What really irks me is that with 2 minutes left, we played more attacking than we had done all year. With the game gone, that’s when Goody finally makes a change……………too little too late. At half time we could all see that our tall target up forward was failing dismally. The coaching group needs to relinquish this stubborn vice-like grip on trying to defend, and adopt a more attacking game style. We were boring for this entire finals series. New tactics are needed, as we have the offensive weapons, we’re just trying to suffocate it out of our game.
  8. BFD. Our premiership drought is now 1 year old. Id rather win a premiership one year and the wooden spoon the next, as opposed to winning a final 2 years running but never legitimately challenging for a flag.
  9. How many times last night did Dogga run too far under the ball? It’s like he is trying to avoid as much body contact as possible, meanwhile poor old Max gets hit from pillar to post continually putting his body on the line. He’s gotta fix that part of his game, regardless of where he plays next year.
  10. Our whole game style is playing not to lose. It’s a defeatists attitude that needs to change over summer.
  11. If Luke Jackson is to leave, I’d very much like the club to try and figure out a way to get Cadman. Aside from Richmond poaching Lynch, most quality KPF’s come via the draft. We have JVR, but we need at least a 2-pronged attack. This year has shown that even with ruck dominance, it doesn’t necessarily lead to quality clearances (not for us anyway). Sure Petty could be an answer up forward, but he is a quality KPD, with lots of improvement still left in him. No point robbing Peter to pay Paul. JVR and Cadman will take a few years, but you could build a forward line around that for a decade (providing development goes well - we’ve been half decent at that lately). Good midfielders are a dime a dozen, backlines only need to nullify the contest, rucks appear to be becoming less integral. You’ve got to be able to kick winning scores, and we were pathetic at doing so for the majority of the back half of the year.
  12. Nope. If anyone it needs to be a small forward. Again we’re struggling with all bar Kozzie wanting to be at fall of the ball. Lacking another tall target up forward, bring Smith on as another option. If Brown continues as he is, I’d have him ‘strain a toenail’. That’s subbable
  13. Poor last 10 minutes
  14. Poor last 10 minutes
  15. What is dead may never die BB
  16. Last week i was anxious as all heck, today i am very much "what will be will be". Would be a waste of a season to go out in straight sets, particularly starting 10-0. It's all up to the boys now. I'll be there cheering them on tonight, and hopefully get to next week as well. 🤞
  17. Might want to send this through to the coaches at MFC, doubt they will catch on
  18. Daniher out because his partner has gone into labor and he wants to be by her side. Noble as a partner, but gosh if it was a main Melbourne man i wouldn't be overly happy.
  19. Well that’s what happens when you attack from the wings. Corridor footy Dees.
  20. Would you back Trac? He’s just as bad.
  21. Start him at FF, with Max in the centre square
  22. Didn’t help that nearly 80% of their score came from our turnovers.
  23. The reason why Danger couldnt remonstrate was because he was already on the ground, wonder if Blondie would’ve done anything if Paddy was upright? Seriously, Ginivan has something coming for him surely. A pity Adams (a tough but fair player) did his groin and not that little worm.
  24. Yep, our offensive setup is based on “good offence starts with a good defence”. Frustrating
  25. we don’t have a FT forwards coach, as Stafford is in charge of both Ruck and Forwards. he’s not doing too well at either. Time for some fresh blood in both roles methinks. But blooming hell, we need a dedicated forwards coach.
