  1. The coaches go 5, 4, 3, 2, 1; as Bruce got 1 vote, that means only one coach voted for him.
  2. Mate, I think you will find it is only a few posters here who give Brucey a hard time. I have identifed most of them and ignore them; I suggest you do the same.
  3. I don't usually have a go at people's spelling but it's Wonaeamirri.
  4. Too early to say. Trends in this area need to be looked at over about a 5 year period; and that is hard to do as there is usually some change to the conditioning group during that time. It could be just the rub of the green. I am prepared to cut the guy some slack; he seemed to get some pretty unfair criticism around here when he was appointed.
  5. CJ's defensive work is far better than Buckley's. I see Buckley as a centre line player where his pace can be best utilised. I like Wheatley as a winger who can share the kick in duties with CJ. I voted for the Garland, CJ, Martin, Rivers, Warnock, Whelan combination.
  6. Weetra had better start playing for Sandy firsts, first.
  7. I was there with my daughter, my son is OS. I hate the dump with a passion, but my passion for the dees won.
  8. $100 at $2.30 = loss of $100 $100 at $7.30 = profit of $630 Nett profit is $530 as claimed
  9. It was against Adelaide at Football Park, I think. Is that what is now called AAMI Stadium?
  10. I think Jordon is a cousin of Jarryd. Teddy played last weekend; maybe he picked up a knock.
  11. Didn't Bartram play for Sandy early this year when coming back from injury?
  12. I just wish that all and sundry would stop referring to it as a draw. If it were a draw that would imply some element of chance; there is none. It is a fixture.
  13. Don't forget Grimes, and even Petterd.
  14. I was pretty much in line with Aussie and the goals when he got the ball and knew exactly what he was going to do. The Brisbane supporters around me and I, were confident that he would dob it, he just got the aiming point wrong.
  15. I thought Dunn's greatest contribution came with seconds to go when he was the the player closest to our goal; he was on the defensive side of centre marking the last Brisbane player, I thought it was 30 Copeland, but it may well as been 20 Black. The ball came out and he got in front and got the ball to the onrushing Davey? who gave it to Green ...
  16. I think you will find that Bailey was once the coach at Mt. Gravat. This may have coincided with Miller's time there as a junior.
  17. Neitz and Yze are on the veterans list and thus only part of their salaries are in the Salary Cap. From memory, half of Neitz's and a quarter, or third of Yze's.
  18. Martin is very interesting and seems to be a long term lock for a KPB. He is not ready yet, but has done nothing to diminish his standing. I have been wondering how he would fit into the side with Warnock, Garland and Frawley who are/will be KPBs. I consider only Garland to have the capacity to play elsewhere, forward, maybe?
  19. I must admit I didn't notice who took the kick-ins; I did notice that they were a hell of a lot better this week. In other games I have thought that the opposition would rather kick a point than a goal as they would get 7 points, not 1.
  20. What he actually said was that it is better than 50/50. He also said that he understood why things had gone a bit quiet on the affiliation front with the events of last week, but had been contacted by representatives of the new group. There is a long way to go, but there is no doubt that Casey's preference is for an affiliation.
  21. Casey know that we cannot afford to run our own seconds; they know that we must form an alliance. They are just playing hard to get.
  22. Yes, he was quite promising, especially early. After half-time the game degenerated into a kick-to-kick between the half-back lines. Zomer is very raw, but he has the physical attributes; the future is up to him.
  23. I remember at least two times when we took quick kick-ins against the filth and the maggots told us to take them again for some unknown reason; perhaps they were just unnerved as they had never seen us do it before.
  24. I don't think the seconds are playing as they played, and beat, the Casey seconds before last week's game against the Filth; the Filth do not have a seconds team.
