  1. I'm with you Werridee. Love a pre-emptive 22. My mates do them all off-season. After draft day. After trade week. They're fun. Hore is a break in case of emergency guy. He'll come in for maybe 6 games as our KP defenders struggle or get hurt. OMac as usual is the whipping boy, but people do seem to forget the match committee absolutely love him. He played every game last year for some reason. Demonlanders should probably get on board, or at least understand he will get picked despite what they think. I reckon you always have to earmark one, maybe two surprises in there as well. Goody loves to play a debutant round 1. Fritsch last year. Smith the year before that. I feel like with Oliver rehabbing they might get Sparrow a game, as he's physically ready.
  2. 6-10 - TMac for me. He's among the longest tenured demons, and is a proven commodity at FF when fit or underdone. No Hogan means the responsibility is on him. I'm not as sold on Weed as many others. Personally I think we go from the #1 attack to about #6 with Hogan out. 4-6 - Harmes. Loved him all along. Nothing he can't do on a football field. He got all the media attention late last year in that incredible month, and I think he now moves into the serious/elite list of players in the comp. The difference he makes to the team is really understated too. Every team has 3-4 starting midfielders that you have to game plan for. Dangerwoodlett for example... What makes them scary though is they have Duncan and Kelly running around without attention. Apply that rule to us, we have Oliver, Viney and Braysh who are made men. After that it gets a bit wobbly with Jones aging, Tracca more a forward, and ANB a bit patchy. If Harmes takes a serious chunk of the heavy lifting, then we have a complete midfield and are that much more impressive. 1-4 - Fritsch. Would put Lever in but he probably falls outside the 1-4 rule. Looking around at the shape of the list, we don't have as many flex players as I'd like. Lots of them are stay-at-home defenders or forwards who lack the tank to go through midfield. Fritsch can play everywhere and has all the gifts to be an Embley type. Just needs to bulk up. Given what he produced last year though, there's no reason to think a top 10 finish in B and F is beyond him. Which at his age is super. Mystery man - Nietschke/Jordon. The whole draft class of this year looked like a mystery to me at first, so I could put them all in. I think Sparrow looks a ready made Jones replacement, so no mystery there. Bedford a Jeffy replacement. Hore a backup kp defender. But it's these two that have me mystified. Watching their tape they have all the attributes. But no-one knew anything about them. Nietschke wasn't even known to most at all. If we're going to do anything, you do have to rely on SOME rookies to lift some weight. Spargo did it last year. I can't wait to see what Taylor has given us this year.

High respect for Foles. The main Philly sports radio guy has hated him for years and is now leading the charge to trade Wentz. It's become a full blown QB controversy now. Personally even if he wins the Lombardi, I still want Wentz. Even if we were offered a player and a 1. Would have been crushing for Eagles too I feel. And really, they should have lost. Yeah... Saints can give up some plays over the top, which is what Foles does. I feel like it'll be a bit like the SB last year. Just Brees and Foles airing it out. As you say, it's all about how much Eagles can limit guys like Kamara. Our run D is our great strength on defense. But the recent game (albeit with Wentz) was a nightmare of epic proportions for Eagles. To turn around 40+ points seems too much.

Foles is up there too. But agree, every time Luck does something good, they cut to him talking and just.... nothing happens. It actually might have clipped an eagle talon on the way through. Not sure it would have affected it too much. I'm a bit concerned actually. I have Rams as comfortably the better team. Cowboys though, comfortably in better form... and that worked for the Eagles yesterday. My god what a finish. I'm still blown away.

Latest is he's bruised but will play week 1. Has me worried though looking down the line and seeing Mack coming at you. Two weeks running he's taken heavy hits there. Well done again on tipping fun Macca. Good to get back on the podium.

Wow Eagles. What a wacky end to the year. I've never been in one of those where you're hoping for a win and other results to fall your way to make it. That was fun. From here I'm bullish on Eagles vs Bears. Bears will be warm favourites but look out for the experienced team and QB. Saints won't be stopped on the way to NFC Championship game though. It'll be Rams v Saints easy. And rightly so. Love seeing Steelers miss out too.

Apparently the specific injury (back) will keep him restricted in the way he can move for a few months. Nothing to worry about long term, but for now he can't do what he needs to do. And likely can't for a playoff run.

Word coming through bruised ribs for Foles.

The idea was Foles was going too well to bench anyway. Outdoing Wentz in his current shape. ie... a fully fit Wentz vs a fully fit Foles you go with Wentz. But Foles in better than a Wentz who can't move. Not for nothing, but I actually really like Sudfeld. He's actually an ok player from what little I've seen.

Word is he was gonna get a scan but was unlikely to play again this year. Not sure what Foles out means. Sounds to me like a rib or ribs. Apparently in a lot of pain. And no week off AFL style. Bears go for 2. Weird. But relieved they got it.

Got hit in the chest where Clowney got him last week. Wentz a possibility to come back next week.

Got rid of my subscription. lol Yeah... this second half will be interesting in Bears game to see who's on sideline. Gee it's fun.

    NFL

Yup. Until the thing is definitively done. And their D is making all the running here. Currently 40 yards in a half by Vikings. So whoever gets through next week will have a big mountain to climb.

Could be wishful thinking on my part but I'm with you. I don't get how you pull a guy who's flying like Trubiski because of the maths of the thing... The only wrinkle there... Who would Nagy want to play more in the first week of playoffs. Vikings or Eagles? Going by what we've seen today, they'd do well to let Vikings win here and smash them in playoffs. Seems a bit wacky though, Div rival, they'd like to just make it simple and end their season now.

    NFL

Min down by 2 scores Eagles up by 2 scores.... And yet... Rams being up 21-3 means they could end Eagles season. Wow.

    NFL

Nice work Macca. Gee whiz exciting... Trubiski still in the game, Minnesota an eye watering 16 yards of offense so far. Eagles looking the better team so far against Skins.
  22. Dappa Dan

    NFL

Perhaps. A decent RB is worth a lot less than a young MVP proven QB. Eagles gave up 2 firsts and a truckload more to go up 6 picks in his draft year. Not only that but Giants would get the franchise guy they need from within their own division. Wentz will still be throwing the ball when Barkley declines. It's a silly deal of course, but intriguing mostly because it's just so win-win.

    NFL

    Eagles, Colts, Falcons.

    NFL

Yeah. There's even talk now of franchise tagging Foles to trade him. Sounds too risky and wacky for me. There's a guy who's the biggest Philly firebrand in their local radio stations who's gone from hating Foles for the last few years to grudgingly accepting him in the superbowl to now actively calling for him to be kept on and to trade Wentz. I get the thinking... trade Wentz for Barkley and pick 1, keep Foles on cheap money, draft a new QB in 5 years. But it's silly. When you have a player like Wentz you don't move away from him.
