He's a FA after this season. So we get him for 2 months.
-
Yeah. I'm not saying he won't produce. Just worried about age, and the fact Eagles got him to effectively just make playoffs. They'll be doing a mini-rebuild over the next few years and won't be in the superbowl this year.
-
There was some talk of haha in the days leading up to trade deadline. Nah the current RBs are fine... would need to offload a first rounder for something like Bell to improve. I'm surprised we didn't get help in the secondary tbh.
-
All happening. Tate to Eagles is good... But probably only a year or two he'll work... a third too much?
-
What a horrible way for that to end. Thought the GOAT was gonna get them up.

What a game here Rams Pack...
-
Redkins, Seahawks, Patriots

Yeah. I sort of understand if you're them. Mack shouldn't have been traded... the equivalent of Cox for Eagles. Aside from that though, I reckon they're making good moves for a big draft... Cooper is an equivalent of the Jordan Matthews trade for Eagles. WRs seem to me to be an important but expendable asset. And really, if you're Gruden, this is all going exactly as it should.

Meh. Not my day today.

If my NFL tips are anything to go by, I'll be expecting them in a few hours.

Ha. I just like the occasional flutter... Know very little. That said. #7. lol

So who's your tip, then?

I remember there's a period in the middle there where you come up against some tough oppo... but I still couldn't pick against Jared, Todd, big 99 and my boys... I feel like ifyou do drop one it'll be in the last game where you rest everyone. They're so far ahead of everyone else in the league right now, the Rams. In other breaking news. Freaking Pats will be in the SB again.

Just did a lazy ladder predictor. A bit too early probably, but I still like to get a rough idea... based solely on what we've seen so far... NFC: North: Green Bay win the Div over the Bears who get the wild card. Min a wasted season on 8-7-1 South: Saints all the way 14-2. West: LA go 16-0 (they probably don't but it won't matter). Gurley to be rested for last 2 weeks. Seahawks get the other Wild card with 10-6. Redskins and Panthers probably the big challengers there. East: Eagles and Redskins are two months away from a week 17 fight for the NFC East crown. Winner goes through 9-7. AFC: North: Ravens clinch. Steelers get wild card. Or the other way round. Cincy struggle as the season goes. South: Houston will play Jax for the crown in week 17. I take Houston. East: Patriots... yawn... West: Arguably the best Div in football.. KC 13-3, Chargers 12-4 for the wild card.

I don't so much. They've got a lot to love about that team now. They're in much, much better shape already. I'll be watching them fondly over the next 3-5 years. Chubb taking over at RB a good move too. And I really like Mayfield. Very pleased with this as an Eagles fan. A bit worried about what it does against NFC East oppo this season, but he wasn't as big of a deal to the Eagles going forward as he would be to Cowboys. Howie offered a second rounder, which is as high as I'd have wanted him to go... With Alshon, Ertz and Agholor I don't think he'd have made enough of a difference. Force Cowboys to give up a first for him... I reckon everyone wins in this one. NFC East is a dumpster fire this year, but it got interesting, at least, with that signing.

A few great finishes actually... Ravens one blew me away. And the Browns one.

+ Getting May over the Pies.

Recruiting a 3rd tall forward to find another 50 goals?
Dappa Dan replied to John Demonic's topic in Melbourne Demons
His first season he was ineligible (mini draft) so that doesn't count... the next season he was out for the full year, except for a pre season. First 20 games he kicked 40. Sam, playing out of the square, has kicked less than half that. I see your point, and to some degree I'm with you. I stopped judging KPFs based on their first 3 years after the Saints traded Lynch for a pack of chips to Adelaide where he's dominated. You could be right, I'm just not seeing the embryonic stages of a great from him yet. Although I do reckon he kicks it further when going for goal and is better over the top of packs (as opposed to busting them). Boy it's a helluva thought though... to have lost a player like Jesse, and had a guy walk into his spot who's as good or better. Agree on May. He'd make any backline better. I don't believe May is the superior player at all, but we get him and Lever back in his intercept role. Super. Perhaps the best part though is that we get May, and Pies don't. Could be huge. -

That's what worries me a bit. I know they're different beasts, and Jesse had a bigger body even in his late teens, but in his first 4 years... hell his first season... he showed more than Weed. I'm sick to death of hearing about what a player "could" be after years in our system. Especially after one just left who was never about potential. He showed the real thing from day one. All is forgiven though if your predictions about his future come true. I lived through Watts though. So I'm hardly in a positive frame of mind. -

Hopefully even more than that. This is flag time for MFC. -

Hope you're right. I don't see it personally though. Next few years particularly... all about TMac. -

Ah gotcha. Misread. For me it's pretty simple. TMac and Weed will take the lions share. Preuss and Gawn will be attempted until they realise neither can play major time forward if you want to win. Preuss they'll look at as a Cox type. Which drives me NUTS. But yeah. We have that many picks, 7 at time of posting, you'd have to assume there'd be a number of KP players.
