  1. The answer needs to be buried. Theres a perverse irony about all thats going on at the moment. All very Jeckyl and Hyde
  2. i'd have thought this was more the number. A lot of spare cash around Windy Hill isnt there
  3. Little has it almost right, something needs to go away something beginning with E.....
  4. If nothing else to do ...here have fun reading some of this lot !! Quite illuminating reading Online File : Essendon v ASADA
  5. Or sometimes its people who are slightly removed that can have a clearer perspective. Sometimes a spade is just a spade.
  6. I think words might be whispered in ears as to the folly of listening to Little
  7. no idea, but there would be some . What would be a valid offer could be interesting
  8. there'd be a few
  9. yep...if all parties agree, not a problem
  10. All those you mention arent the failed KPP types they have always been utility types. and are almost uniformly 188-190 types...and for good reason The idea ( for mine ) of Watts as some sort of pseudo Pendlebury is some sort of fanciful folly. He is NOT a mid. He is a winger, left to be that he could do well. He gets caught up in traffic and knocked around by it. He needs room and given it is VERY good at using the ball. But for mine thats all,....now.
  11. a different line of questioning with different people asking !!
  12. wasnt there something about getting players into roles and letting them develop ? Didnt get long did he...just saying I seriously think Roos is just as bewildered as the rest of us. All he really says are things PC irt Watts. The obvious thing is we will know EXACTLY Watts what come trade time. A few will
  13. Im sure they thought the wink from Vlad would be followed by a bit of " nudge nudge, ....say no more " . Thought they would get off, with a small smacky!! So much of this is wrong
  14. Actually Howe categorically suggested there wasnt one ( i think)
  15. We cant know that this ISNT an option currently in the minds of the club. Melbourne will wait til end other season and trade begins to evaluate the best path forwards. I havent heard anyone categorically say Watts isnt tradable, but happy to be corrected
  16. As a commentator in the media (DS) it is actually his job to comment. Having said that its not necessarily a given that a commentator might not actually say something worthy as opposed to purely a headline. I actually thought the thrust of the Ox's sentiments was that both parties were in a bit of a rut with each other and both simply need a freshness ( gained from Watts moving on ) I agree 100% with that. I think THAT would work best, but he may well stay. Anyone can comment. Up to us to filter.
  17. I know; can hardly believe that myself though my wife assures me I should be open to such a notion !!
  18. Apparently not everyone is on the same bus: Paul Little denies knowledge of Essendon players' legal action, seeks circuit-breaker ""But as Little voiced his wish on 3AW on Thursday morning, he was also faced with a report that seven players were considering suing the Bombers. Little was asked by Neil Mitchell on his morning show if he was aware that players ‘‘had taken legal advice on the possibility of suing the club for mental and possibly physical distress in the future’’."" Think id be getting away from the dam pretty quick !!! Poor Paul...he's tired of it, just wants it to go away Essendon chairman Paul Little says he wants to work with the AFL and the Federal Government to make the supplements scandal ‘‘go away’’. Out damn spot, out !!!!
  19. Even simpler explanation. History has shown we made bucket loads of very poor decisions about a lot of things. but in terms of the team we made bungles not only on who we chose but how we went about it. There have been some very sage words written on these boards by some with good insight and handle on this game . A lot was borne out in time. You cant just dismiss whats written here in DL as bunkum . In all fairness to all though much of what is written here on DL has to do with failure because there's very little success to talk about. its bound to appear one sided >
  20. In a judgement he made against Centro he took the view "Middleton has concluded that being honest in error is no protection against failure in diligence. In the end, Centro's directors are to be held accountable for what they did not know but should have." Having been with Sir Ninian Stephen I would think that Middleton would be familiar with the bigger picture side of things. I may of course be totally wrong
  21. I understand this. Middleton has an obligation to look towards what is in the greater good. He has discretion
  22. you say this Saty...yet remind me of where we currently reside in this competition ??
  23. Casboult can kick, just isnt sublime as Watts Watts career G 72 Bh 37 , 2014 12-7 Casboult career G 28 Bh 28 , 2014 14-9 its just a curiosity really
