Some may take the opening title as a slur. I mean nothing of the kind. We have as a club..as followers been throught the mire and in the doldrums for many a season now. We have seen false dawns..and many promised ressurections come to nought..or too little too late. There is SO much to be positive about. Yes very little on the scoreboard but all the blocks are being put into place. Is it possible that now the players and the playing group (this includes coaches), now that they see the future of the club becoming more cemented ,that they have an assurance that efforts will be rewarded etc...that there is real hope ? So much of life is between the ears.. I think the change at board room and the recent efforts to assure a future wil lhave positive flow ons to the group. Am I alone in this ? There is really a new feeling about this club isnt there

all good I think whilst conceding there are as many aspects to demographics as there are pizza toppings ..lol.. that to have someone of Hawk's ilk don a Melb jumper ..is actually pretty good stuff. Whilst many skaters arent probably footy nuts..some are. We arent big in the minds of youths..and this is an area that was brooched at the summit..i.e how to get into their mindsets..hence also the youth summit !! In itself its no panacea but its another little thing that goes into the conciousnesses of some. Some kids might feel it a bit daggy barracking for that supposedly traktor skiing bunch but if they see things like Hawk in red and blue then a different perception starts to creep in.. that's good for mine

In what I think is a marvellous bit of PR type stuff we have snared Tony Hawk as a Demon. Tony Hawk and the Demons big deal many might think ...but this guy is an absolute dead set legend in his chosen sport..probably without peer i,d suggest. To get images of this ultra cool guy in the red and blue will I guaranteee you give a bit of street cred in places we probably mightnt have it. All these little things all go to getting us back in the public's face in a better way. Wel done to the guys.."bravo...bravo !!" already some good exposure for our new sponsor..!!

I agree..Spencer seems to be coming on a little quicker than many would have expected this year. a big plus..I too thought back to Stynesy and Strawbs !! I also consur a few surpises ( pleasant ) are yet in store for us as the year unfolds. Be a foolish team that takes us too lightly this year ..a bonus for us

How does one source the sauce and effect an affect without adversely causing many to be averse to the result. We often err only to have others air aloud to what is allowed. Some place content upon the alter whilst others are content to alter to suit. I'll happily allude to an illusion if only to ellude an allusion. So I assure you I will endeavour to ensure that I make right my words as I write to insure its based in fact to complement before being baste before all in lieu of compliment !! Write as you will !! A company I do some work for has over the last so many years gone over to getting a lot of its product from China as opposed to manufacturing it here ( though it still does for a lot of its lines, the higher end stuff) . The stuff that arrives from China gets unloaded..unboxed..and checked. ALL of it ...why ?? because they have an amazing penchant for stuffing it up. Sometimes the silliest of typo's etc.. ( omg..some here would have heart attacks !! pmsl )..Sometimes the wrong cover etc. it happens a lot. Its quite normal to expect that ex-China stock will have anywhere up to 20% qc issues. Thats why most is repackaged here...not all..most !!

I can see Spencer assuming the #1 ruck this year and PJ playing a more of a ruck come follower ( as it were ) role. There is far more flexability with PJ compared to Meesen or Jamar; many more aspects to his game that can be called upon in a game. were actually starting to look a bit like a footy team TGFT !! lol

Personally with his predipostion towards the drink he ought be made to carry them !!

The reality is youd be hard pushed to see any of Meesen's shining star on a moonless night !! Jamar has worked hard to aspire to being a very average ruckmen with limited side courses !! Yep..we really need this calibre in our line up going to '10 !!

I see Brock and Col as two VERY different types. I know which I prefer..both in type and ability. Some seem to think its just another ho-hum minor transgression by that naughty lad. SIATC etc. Im going to go stand with the mob that have had a gutful of this amateur-like display of responsibilty appreciation ( or lack thereof ). Hes not new to the club..or the job. and he still just doesnt get it... as the song goes:...... perhaps he never will !!! Quite simply we dont need him..someone go ram that through his thick sconce!!
