Rams claim Mayfield who is flying tonight to LA and likely to start Thursday night. He is an upgrade on our back ups but not by much. But I did read if he signs with another team in the off season we can get a compensation pick. And as our first pick goes to Detroit there is no reason to not try and win.

Niners sign QB Josh Johnson…

Realistically the niners need a QB who can hand the ball off and get quick passes into the flat and a few yards down field reliably. That’s your go, Deebo, Ayuik and McCaffrey do their work from there. Your D is still very good, the problem will come in Jan when you come across very good D’s but also with very good O’s. Then it’s can you score enough and also keep their O off the field. Newton and Mayfield both can do this and I’d be surprised if either don’t get a work out.

Baker Mayfield released by Panthers, rams should claim him. Two reasons, he is better than what we have (not hard), but stops the niners from going for him 🥹

Well we don’t have a first rounder but finishing low now gets us a much better second/third rounder and two concussions in 3 weeks is not good. Might also give the elbow more healing time and also gives the club time to look at both Perkins and Wolford, maybe one stands up to be a good #2, maybe neither do, hell one might even get to starter level. But in 7 weeks time they would know for sure.

Talk is Stafford will be shut down for the year. If so I’d stick with Perkins.

A few years ago Rams v Chiefs was a51-54 thriller! I expect the chiefs to get around the same points and the rams will be lucky to get 54 snaps for the entire game. This is going to be a bloodbath. Our D will play 80+% of game time. Rams are likely to start 3rd string QB and only have two RB’s on the roster. Had to sign two lineman last week to get 8 fit lineman and lost another one so down to 7 unless one is fit enough to play. I feel for Perkins, chiefs Dline are going to come for him in waves.

Yeah I saw that too. Vikes will cop it from the Dallas D but their WR core is good enough that if the line gives Cousins a little time, their WR will get good gains. Cowboys offence is good, but nothing the vikes D can’t contain, but that’s the thing here is Cowboys seem better across the three phases, but the Vikes are just getting it done.
