  1. Chance of a Rising Star nomination this week?
  2. Not entirely related to this thread but does anyone know if the Cats v Dees game next week will be on Free-to-air TV? Or will we non-FOXTEL people get stuck with Brisbane v Adelaide?
  3. Not my son’s fault then I’m pleased to report...
  4. Ha ha ha, he was in the group. I’m not sure if it was his dodgy kicking that did the damage.
  5. I was at the kids clinic with my sons on Monday morning and my son was doing a kicking and marking drill with Billy and at one point he looked to grab for his quad. For the next 5 mins he looked to be uncomfortable and kept stretching it. Could have been just tightness, may be unrelated, but I thought at the time I hope he hasn’t done any damage.
  6. He kicks around the ball not through it.
  7. Hannebery’s body looks shot based on the Swans games I’ve watched on TV.
  8. Based on the weather at the moment it will be a poor spectacle. Blowing a gale on the peninsula at the moment.
  9. Talk Talk Talk Yawn Yawn Yawn
  10. There are some tough games certainly but the only two that I’d put down as highly likely to be a loss are Geelong in Geelong and WCE in Perth. 4 should definitely be wins: Saints, Freo, Dogs and Suns. The Crows look shot we will start favorites in that game. That’s 5 wins = 13 wins. That leaves: Sydney at MCG GWS at MCG I think by the last round the Giants will be out of contention and will have put the cue in the rack. We “should” win hat one. Provided we play well we should get 14 wins with a strong percentage. That will get us in the 8. Hopefully 5th or 6th to get us a home final 1st week.
  11. Who are Port’s tall defenders? Who will take Hogan? Who will take TMAC? I think the midfield battle will be even. But I think we can have a strong advantage in our forward line.
  12. Ok agree to disagree. I have little doubt that the team looking at the options for a new facility looked at your (or similar) options in the vicinity using Gosch’s paddock as the training oval. But one point on your idea about picking up new supporters. People don’t select a football team because they go past the building regularly. People choose a football club because of 3 main reasons. 1. The team is successful. 2. The team has exciting “star” players 3. Family influence. You want people to fall In Love with the Dees. Points 1 and 2 are what we need. Why did you start barracking for the Dees Out of interest DV8.
  13. We have the Casey alignment too. You are basically saying that people half interested will get the train to Richmond and walk to Gosch’s Paddock, but only hard core supporters will get the train to Richmond and walk to Yarra Park. I can’t see the difference personally.
  14. The amount of free kicks WC are getting, I won’t be able to watch our game live for fear of damaging the internals of my house.
  15. DV8 seriously!! Anyone with kids keen enough to put kids into a car, drive to a train station, unload kids from the car, get on the train, get off the train at Richmond... isn’t going to be put off by an extra 150m walk.
  16. Tyson has an excellent record against Port FWIW.
  17. I don’t know how people can be so vehemently against it when none of the details have been released. It’s based purely on a touched up sketch in the Herald-Sun. Talk about going into things with an open mind. ?
  18. DV8 have you been involved in the planning/concept of this option? The details on where different floors would sit in relation to proposed promenades etc leads me to think that you have looked at this option in great depth.
  19. Yep you are right Gonzo. I did say “near to”. ?
