  1. We go with what’s worked pretty well for the last 4 weeks against some quality key forwards. Moot point now though. Have to back in the FD on this, there is upside to having Smith in. I am starting to see it.
  2. I don’t think it’s rubbish but I agree to take the emotional side out of it. Falling in love with the story is not going to do any favours in selection. I would have thought Oscar for Darling but Smith makes a bit of sense, good to have the option at least. I hope he goes well too, I think he has the potential to. But the decision would be rightly questioned if he has a mare. It’s not a scrutiny free job making these calls. That’s life.
  3. All things aside the potential Smith inclusion is risky from a fitness perspective alone I would have thought. How many games has he been back for?
  4. That was the circuit breaker I needed! We're in a prelim, that's what matters.
  5. I'd hardly call him a 'bit-part player'. It can definitely be lost at selection if Smith stinks.
  6. On my short walk around the block just then I couldn't stop thinking about this. It doesn't gel with me at all. It would be devastating to lose this at the selection table. I think Smith could be good in time but he's a liability for this game with 3 dangerous small forwards. Fritsch has not been great the last two games I admit that. He offers something that few others in the team have though, hard to describe it but it's the ability to use it consistently. If Smith has to come in as an extra tall then it has to be Tyson out for me. He looks back to his old 'lost on the outside mid' self. Fritsch back to the wing and Smith back.
  7. Hope it's all on the up now for you Wise. Look forward to hearing from you this Sat!
  8. After the siren it was Optus Stadium. Up until about 10 minutes ago it was Fed Square. Mate who I go to nearly all games with can't go now. Currently in tale spin.
  9. No, not really. Not at all actually...
  10. It’s just annoying how the have to completely change aesthetics of the game for one tactic, the long kick in. Would change the game for about 16 seconds. At very least some more trialing would be good.

For sure. Planning, planning and more planning. Buckley at our game on Fri night said a lot about this theory. In the current NFL I think you really have to be a brainy, nerdy type that spends all day studying film and refining tactics to be a head coach. A real obsessed type. The days of coaches you could have a beer with like Rex Ryan are dying.
  14. Quite the contrary actually. As much as I’d hate to dispute the brilliant pulitzer WC mind that wrote this. I think being open to the media exudes confidence and shows we are taking it on our stride whereas being hunkered down and avoiding it shows they might be a bit cagey. Think the nervous nellies are down the road!

It’s definitely all about momentum this league. We’re a chance but would have to improve a bit to match it with the big boys. The line is still a slight worry especially interior, Jimmy is getting hit too often. But you can only go one week at a time

Yep, like a Champions League group of death the next month. Your Pack at Lambeau in week 6 which I’m not confident about at all. Then Gorg’s Rams! I’m not dreaming big this season to be honest. I thought we would challenge for playoffs but when Jerick Mckinnon did his ACL those chances took a hit. We had big plans for him in the offense. 8-8 would be a great result I reckon.
  17. There’s a first for everything. For me this is the first time I’ve paid attention to Brownlow invitees.

Best performance of the week. Of the games I saw at least. Starting to look like The Greatest Show On Turf!
