Anyone for cricket?
Sure. Todays weather will dry whatever moisture is left. Unless the ground floods tonight!!It can be the only answer if Harris's tweet was legit. The Aussies were psyched to bat and didn't. No wonder they were flat. Poms would have been stoked immediately

Anyone for cricket?
I can see some merit in this. Because it gives England a sniff. How mentally tough is the team?

Anyone for cricket?
your last point here Macca is poignant. Having won the Ashes Clarke and the coaches may have decided to throw the team in the deep end to see how they measure up before going to South Africa. That was my second thought after choking on my coffee at 10.15 Boxing day morning!!

I bat first unless the pitch is a nursery. Traditional cricket follower has nothing to do with it. Physics Mathematics and Psychology are what i base opinions on with Test Cricket. Of course 200 was not enough. Day 1 with a Home crowd if 91,000 i am thinking we would do better than that. And we would be batting right now resting the bowlers.

Anyone for cricket?
I still would have batted first. Pure and simple. You are not taking in to account the psychological advantage that Clarke surrendered.

Anyone for cricket?
i have not insisted we would have made more runs in the first innings. But i always believe it is harder to chase. The Australians will be knackered after today and then we will be chasing a big score. Why give your opponent a sniff. That's what Clarke did & i bet he is kicking himself now.

Anyone for cricket?
Why do you keep repeating that the scores would be merely mirrored if we had batted first Titan. Strange logic.
-
Anyone for cricket?
why did we thrash England in the first 3 Tests Titan. What was the common thread? Gonna be a long day in the field by the looks of the present score. Wish we were batting right now. Had the chance but Clarke was cocky.

Anyone for cricket?
For god sake manI would prefer to have Johnson Siddle & Lyon bowling on a fading pitch in the 4 innings. Stop throwing up these flimsy arguements. The pitch is playable. It is not green grass. We now have to field all day during a stinking hot day and bowl really well & then chase down a score to win. Clarke stuffed up.

Anyone for cricket?
Psychological. And avoiding the 4th innings bat. It's not rocket science.

Anyone for cricket?
38 Degrees today. Australia will be in the field most of the day. Great way to set up a 4th innings!!.....

Anyone for cricket?
the pitch is not that bad. It's getting quicker. Clarke won the toss and bowlled. I bet he regrets it now. Actually he would have regretted it after the first hour. Why choose to bat last on this pitch? I can see no reason for it.

Anyone for cricket?
Yes we have a batting weakness. Watson and Bailey have been sub par in the first innings in all 3 games. But putting a score on the board first up is important. Chasing is always harder. Harris is gone. And we have to bat last. We have given them the game!!

typical response is it?I actually agree with what you have stated. It's the reason WHY Clarke made the wrong call. It was cocky. He handed England the initiative. What's not mad about that? Haddin has just had a very lucky escape!!!

Anyone for cricket?
Great idea to bowl first. What total madness!!

Current Television
Breaking Bad is the most consistently brilliant series the whole way through. There was not a weak episode at all. Bryan Cranston became a giant of an actor as the show progressed. I must watch it all again. !

Current Television
I just started watching "The Newsroom" with Jeff Daniels Another solid offering from HBO. I worked in a newsroom for 7 years, it is a crazy job and this show is pretty dam close to the bone.

Jack Watts
Having 2 cheap rookie coaches has ripped the guts out of this club. Are you insinuating that Jack is the only player on our list to reach not even half their potential?? Jack can play. He lacks confidence in himself at the top level right now. The Bloods Culture is full of blue collar hard workers who have become Premiership/Top 4 players repeatedly. With any other coach i would agree to trade him. But with Roos, the Bloods work ethic is EXACTLY what JW needs and i think is looking for.
-
Jack Watts
He will produce results under Roos. That is EXACTLY why we must keep him on the list so he reaches his vast potential. Jack Watts is the perfect fit for Paul Roos.
-
Jack Watts
Look at what Roos did with "unwanted" rejects at Sydney. He will want Watts. The guy has enormous talent. He lacks application. The right teacher can fix that pretty quickly.
-
Jack Watts
Anybody who wants to trade Watts without giving him 2 years at least under Roos and co is a fool.
