  1. Quality not Quantity A very useful phrase in so much of what we do. put the opposition under extreme pressure in all directions (like Kozzie was being shown in that video passage) and they will rack up useless possession stats, until they crack. One precision kick from a forward will either kick a goal or put someone dead in front
  2. Missing the point as usual. Burgess has set the new standard at the club. Yes, everybody has bought into it. That’s expected But Burgess is the one who has walked in with the changes. Last Summer and during the 2019 season the entire team was not fit enough in all areas, even though YOU told us all everything was ticking over nicely As i have said before you look, but you don’t see what is really going on Who bought in Burgess? Was it Pert?
  3. What you are saying is correct But isn’t that what every team wants to do in the i50? A game plan to me is a team that can execute precision skills under many different pressure situations. We couldn’t do that last year coz our fitness was below AFL Level Gameplans is just a media word used so old footballers can ramble on for hours and look clever. Skills in running Kicking Marking Handball and Tackling are the real Game Plan when i see this happening weekly with the Demons it will be the recognizable standard we should all collectively expect and demand as Members
  4. No Mate. Goodwin is still there His changes will be incremental Burgess has come in and taken the the team so far, to levels they have never been to before. somewhere we should have been long ago I also wonder how much credit goes to Gary Pert...
  5. Yes totally agree. His “yep” answers were almost dismissive and more like “Get on with it” Damien thinks his questions are more important than the answers given. Wrong. No one gives a toss about Barrett, his job is highly disposable
  6. Sorry?? being a little cryptic Engorged (Such a great name btw)
  7. Yes it feels different Burgess and his team have re energised the Football Dept.
  8. Absolutely. He was far too dismissive of our Preliminary Final exit in 2018, so i was not altogether suprised at how 2019 unfolded, there were many factors But i do hope Simon’s attitude has toughened up You only ever as good as your last game...
  9. Good on him for being honest he was not equipped to deal with last year, not all his own fault But that is the job of Senior Coach
  10. Australian Stock Market down 5.5 % so far today Herd mentality at work
  11. When I first worked in the Newsroom i was taught very early to let a shot run long and then decide whether to trim it back or not, because body language or a final word could change everything, and once it was put to air that was how it would be remembered...
  12. It’s what editing is all about. Frames at the beginning and end of a shot are crucial It’s why i said at the beginning of this being shown, it has been put together by professionals with years of experience
  13. Yes. It was a good cut. Those extra frames made a big difference. Cut 10 frames earlier and the context is completely different
  14. I wish to see Whorethorn down until i am long dead. i saw them win the 1971 Cup live. A very violent game. The 2nd Semi was even more violent. Since then Whorethorn have been there, or thereabouts every year. 50 years That’s what the MFC must aspire to be. We were that way, and then the Mojo was lost....
  15. Good Finish to an interesting journey. Jack was seriously peeved off after the vote, but after last year we needed a clean sheet. the biggest lesson to learn from last year i think, is that when Dave Misson announced he was leaving, he should have packed up his things, have a few beers and a meal with the club and leave. Sticking around for a full season after giving notice is never on. His mind was elsewhere, we were so not fit. Continually over run late in games We should go alright this year, but 17 other clubs will have watched these 5 parts as well How Tough are Demons?
  16. We have all worked with a bloke like that!! I agree i hate a chockers desktop Put them away and use the search engine!!?
  17. That’s probably why they were in last years GF
  18. Correct. It is a very strong Flu Strain Those who are sick must not go to work for a start (Don’t Soldier on with a Codral, with this baby) The Japanese Government should be held accountable for letting all those passengers off the cruise ship who were not secondary tested, and all went home on Public Transport The Chinese knew about this in Early December, but told the initial Doctor to be quiet and go back to work He died doing his job The Virus is out now....
  19. Let’s just get the ball into the Forward Line with some precision and accurately kick goals. And be fit and strong enough to keep doing it late in the game. Each team we play will need a different style to counter them, many teams will need adjustments during the game. That is the area Goodwin needs to improve. being Proactive on Match day
  20. Nothing happened after 1986 except a few false dawns. Lift your expectations No 12 was begot in 1964 No 13 .....
  21. Start Winning Finals regularly and we will have that home base built, very close to where we are now, as it should be. we should already be in the Lexcus Center But Gutnick ruined that opportunity
  22. Totally agree mate. The Club has also made some horrendous decisions (Trengove and Grimes Captains FFS) But to many players over the years were not fit mentally or physically and just enjoyed getting paid Burgess has moved the Football Dept into a new existence, i hope the Club is strong enough to embrace it
  23. Jesus these wenkers have short memories 3 in a row and they are saying we play similiar football Sure would love to thrash these Sewer dwellers 3 times in a row on GF DAY Whorethorn Thugs... Let’s watch their Members stick by them after a few heavy losses... Now what about Jeelong.....
