rugby is better. they just dive head first at the opposition's ankles then play doggo. then if they are lucky they all get to throw their arms around each other in a circle for a big group hug while someone chucks the ball into the middle they score by tripping over the boundary line at either end monty python style and losing the ball

definitely a family with decision making issues, od

THE SAGA CONTINUES - WADA APPEALS
daisycutter replied to Whispering_Jack's topic in Melbourne Demons
yes, interesting luci i have to wonder though, how dragging this into a 4th or 5th year actually helps the club this could have been all over including bans in under 2 years, with the club then operating fairly normally instead they have been dysfunctional and unsuccessful for 4 years and counting oh well, their "party" i suppose -
Delistings/trades at end of the season

aspects of niknak's game are certainly elite, but other aspects are far from it overall i couldn't call him elite though i'd have him in a heart beat but -
or could be another rolling rugby scrum
-
agree munga there was more than 2 or 3 posters who didn't shout you down but i agree the majority did the interchange crap has scarred this game will be interesting to see if the afl have the cajones to radically set the clock back on interchanges i suspect they will only fiddle with it in a minor way there is a definite groundswell building publicly so i have some hope though not holding my breath
-
he played last week didn't get much of the ball although i don't know how much game time he had
-
was he down by the billabong practising his diving?
-
agreed today's players are much fitter now than their semi-professional predecessors so that in itself should mitigate against rotations why would fitter stronger more athletic players of today need a rest on the rotation bench unless you were trying to turn the game into a rugby scrum or start-stop full-performance gridiron too many afl execs easily seduced by too many boozy tours of discovery to the us the tv execs wanted a faster, flashier spectacle but they fooked it up spectacularly

maybe an iron-batchelor would be more prudent, earl

not so sure it was just we bears did a great job missing so many easy goals the last 4 scoring shots of the game (all points) were from bear's set shoots and all very gettable -
MATCH PREVIEW AND TEAM SELECTION - Round 17

i hope the melbourne city council has organised the planting of a few trees across the half forward line by sunday we'll need all the help we can get -
or no interchanges except for injury treatment and that player then can't return for 15mins (or whatever) max 3 interchange/replacement players
