  2. on second thought they may have been called "lady finger" bananas
  3. well aldi had nice bananas at $1.99 more if you want "yellow fingers". why you would i don't know as they don't taste any better. i'm sure someone will jump in and explain
  4. moonie, it's hard to remember a ground that wasn't muddy (or in bad condition) in winter in those days it makes one wonder how skilled those were who could reliably kick a drop-kick or heaven forbid a stab pass
  5. beaver st earl, backing on to the golf course and creek.......these days they just sort the mail.....saves a lot of trouble than seeking it
  6. yep, just checked, the blackie is 1 km closer from my joint than the doncaster but.....it's more north east than north (it is north of east burwood but that doesn't count) some nice spots in box hill. have a monster-in-law in box hill north and a son in box hill south
  7. actually jack, robbie, jimmy or sean would be a nice touch (i've got a sean as a gs)
  8. it would have to be James or Michael

  17. well you did ask about jeff. can i presume you prefer discussions about liberal party state premiers?
  18. yes, he lives in north burwood, otherwise known as surrey hills
  19. no, not burwood, you are defining dry-wood. and yes if you go due north probably the doncaster as for west, the Riversdale might be closer than the Tower
  20. dear oh dear earl......matthew flinders to the west? more like due south, straight down warrigal road. nearest pub to the west would be in hawthorn
  21. bendigo to romsey in an hour, sounds about right to me next time get the lads to rustle up some burritos and corn cobs
  22. christ earl, the burvale is nowhere near burwood. you are obviously thinking of east burwood. chalk and cheese fyi burwood is proudly pub-dry. keeps out the riff raff nicely
  23. not surprised you were thrown out bbo. teachers were supposed to go to the notting hill pub
  24. huh? i thought moe was an eastern suburb, biffo
  25. now c'mon earl, it was always a meeting place for utes, tradies, pi$$heads, drug dealers and loose women and in your case wayward youth searching for the meaning of life
