  1. another question 3) gov allocation is about 50K. I doubt they will presell 50K, so will general admittance be available at ground on walkup basis (or even by membership card) if presell numbers are less than 50K?
  2. some questions on round 1 tickets membership card or phone facsimile won't get us into games. must book on ticketek using a barcode number emailed to you by club. cost for ticketek is $0. Members can book on tues before game (i.e. next tue) followed on later days by general public. 1. will we get our paid for reserved seats? I doubt it for social distancing rules, so where will be allocated? 2. i will be getting a member ticket for myself and eldest grandson. Younger grandson (not member) wants to come too. I can't book his ticket on members day so will have to book later which means he will be seated on his onesome which is not acceptable (too young). Any ideas?
  3. oh.....you don't see where cancel-culture is headed?
  4. to you and et.......it can get a lot, lot worse, but at least you and i will miss the worst must re-read 1984, it's been a long time since i read it
  5. it's all BS, od the melbourne club male-only rules is BS the reaction to the coterie club booking is also all BS it's all BS about being outraged over political correctness and the misguided power of social media by a noisy minority seeking significance and craving attention you can participate in the BS or ignore the BS but it's still BS beware of what a society you wish for.....we are headed for idiocracy
  6. wonder what it cost the coterie/club to break the booking at the last minute?

yeah, girls sitting 6th and last 3 games against top 5 sides they only play 9 out of a possible 13 teams. looks like they got a bad draw as it turns out
  9. dream on... couldn't believe someone took so much time to trawl and cut/paste the thread come back sometime when you have an original thought
  10. this would make more sense if we were talking of social media if newspapers want to stay viable they need to differentiate themselves from this junk otherwise tis just a race to the bottom (which it seems to be anyway)

true, but boy, greenvale to casey is not just a drive, it's a flipping expedition!
  17. i'm not going to go into a wyl-marathon with you over this one point, we agree to disagree
  18. just that the story doesn't just hinge on bartlett and pert as i said before
  19. strongly disagree. i went back and read original abc story. suggest you do too
  20. if bartlett and pert did stay away it would still have been reported by the abc journo and by the woke crowd because of the close association with the mfc. never let the facts get in the way of a "good" story (journalism 101)
  21. for diplomatic reasons, maybe, but a bit hard to snub your major financial backers. maybe by the time they knew the details it was too late to organise a diplomatic switch of venues, we just don't know all the details, but i presume this situation will be avoided in future now, and the woke crowd will just find something else to be outraged by

i always thought we could (depending on covid) be stuck at casey all year, but that it wasn't necessarily fixed could be wrong, but
  23. nothing surprises me these days, binman just disappoints me how petty things can get so quickly obviously, ymmv
