Age says Lions will announce new coach end of next week. Roos says he has spoken to them once. Also says he hasn't changed on coaching interest from what he told PJ. That means if he is to coach Lions and be announced next week, he will have to change his mind quickly, or someone is telling porkies.

I should have said during the season. But I did say 20 days before the end of the season. It's a disgrace even if they signed Roos, as they could have let him finish the last 3 games.

The weather in Brisbane is closer to her home of San Diego, than Melbourne's.

As David King said, why would you sack a club legend with 20 days to go in the season and treat him so appallingly. Obviously the new Coach is signed, but why treat Voss so disgracefully. Unless they didn't want to risk him winning the next three and ending up 11/11. Interesting comment from Eddie, that the AFL is pumping millions into the Lions and need them to turn the finances around and a Roos signing would do that. I wonder if he signs with the Lions if the AFL has acted against us to see that happen. We get some financial help and they try and run the club, the Lions get more and are allowed to continue to run their own show. There are no conflicts of interest or unfair treatment of some clubs in the AFL.

Gee, sacking the biggest legend in the club's history, during the season, when the side is actually going ok. I would imagine the people, including some Demonlanders, who rubbished the MFC for not RENEWING Junior's contract for another year, at the end of the season, must be outraged at a club legend being sacked mid season and treated so appallingly.

If Clisby gets more weeks than C. Brown then...

Don't think the AFL would care less if we challenged. -
Two things amaze me about some of the posts. People think star players would want to come to us and that their clubs would clear them.

If Clisby gets more weeks than C. Brown then...

I would have thought if the MRP can't prove he caused the injury he gets off. That could have been very hard to prove from the vision I saw, after the incident finished, where Sexton appeared not to have suffered the injury yet. -
What about blatant discrimination in the treatment of one club in respect to another. Where does that leave you? A former Carlton premiership player, interviews a former Carlton assistant Coach, hears the allegations and says no case. The Chairman of the AFL is a former Carlton Premiership captain. The assistant Coach repeats the allegations, on the same channel that Brock appeared on and to the same interviewer, is corroborated by the former club leading goal kicker, Fev, in his book and in the papers and nothing happens.

Losing the case, at worst, would cost him one more VFL final. Winning gets him 2 more VFL finals and 2 more AFL games. Obviously I don't know what has gone on behind closed doors, but this seems on the face of it, weak. PS. I have just realized if he gets 4, he is out for whole VFL finals as we don't play again until next season. He has copped this charge one week too late, as only 3 AFL games left for us. Think I would have still rolled the dice and made them prove he caused the injury. -

There is another film clip which I saw on the AFL site which shows Sexton on all fours and apparently OK after the incident had finished. He then arches his back and extends his arms and then the camera pans away. He then presumably stood up. The next vision shows him being helped off the ground. I don' think there is any vision of Clisby causing this injury. If so challenge and win. Sexton had a bad shoulder which was already taped and may have popped it standing up. -
I am amazed and amused.

Just watched it again on AFL site. Terlich gets up and Sexton is on the ground. He rolls over to all fours and extends his arms and arches his back. Looks OK at that point and the incident which was not shown is over. He then goes to get up and the camera pans away. Later is seen leaving the ground with two trainers and shoulder injured. It appears he has hurt his shoulder when he got up and no one is near him. If that is the case, Clisby must get off as he hasn't caused the severe impact, whatever it is. On the other hand if my summary is innacurate, so is my conclusion. Interesting that a kick to the face which breaks a nose is less than body contact, as described by the MRP, which allegedly injures a shoulder. Unless there is other video evidence that is damning, I would be fighting it. -

What did Clisby actually do? He has copped severe impact ( 4 points ) while Brown got medium impact ( 2 points ) for a kick to the face that breaks a guys nose. -

Glad it wasn't his eye that was hit. What would we be saying then? Remember there are stops on the bottom of the boot. That makes it more dangerous. -

Brown lucky with 3 weeks with his poor record and the fact that impact with a boot, which broke a player's nose, was found to be medium. I wonder what high is, death.
